Mat Panthers place fourth at West Forsyth Duals

The Ridgeland Panthers traveled to West Forsyth High School on Wednesday for their first dual tournament of the wrestling season.

The Panthers went 3-1 in pool match, defeating Pepperell (5918), West Forsyth (52-19) and Creekview (38-36), but losing to Morgan County (42-33).

Ridgeland advanced to the third-place match where they were beaten by Forsyth Central 5925).

Jordan Hughley (138 pounds) and Chris Henderson (220) both

went 5-0 on the day. Dylan Swanson (152) and Hunter Bain (182) were each 4-1, while Preston Perrault (113), Mehki Ross (120), Kleiver Turucz (170) and Christian Gentry (182) were all 3-2. Evan Burnette went 2-1 at 160.

Ridgeland will wrestle in a quad-match at Heritage on Thursday before hosting the Panther Invitational this weekend.
