Russell Dale Frost, 58, Ringgold
Russell Dale Frost, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017. He was 58.
A native of Mich., Russell has lived in the North Ga. area for the past 35 years.
He loved to hunt, fish, racing, motocross, online gaming and brewing his own beer. Russell worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield as a system analysis for 26 years.
He was an avid fan of the Phillip Moore, Kia Millican, Madison Jarvis, Levi Jarvis, Garrett Guffey, and Savannah Guffey; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, January 15 at 1 p.m. in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with Pastor Malcolm Harris officiating.
Interment in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brandon Whitley, Tony Smith, Lou Llewellyn, Brad Crowe, Zack Jones, Chris Gentry, Jamie Dawson, and Jason Dawson.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 p.m. 8 p.m.

George Buster Wade Buchanan, 67, LaFayette
George Buster Wade Buchanan, age 67, of LaFayette passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. He was a team truck driver for over 20 years. Buster enjoyed spending his free time camping, wood working, storytelling, car shows, and playing with the grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wade Buchanan; parents, George Buchanan and Emma Scott Buchanan.
Survivors are his loving wife of 44 years, Vickie Lynn Elane Buchanan; daughters, Amy (Jay) Bradley of Chickamauga and Crystle (Bobby) Cribb of Ringgold; sister, Diane (Holbert) Pell; and brother, Jim Buchanan all of LaFayette; grandchildren, Kalen (Clair) Bradley, Landen Bradley, Trey Cribb, Taylor Cribb, Grace Cribb, and Gunner Cribb; and several nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be Friday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. and will be held at Rocky Mountain Recreation (At The Point Pavilion) 4054 Big Texas Valley Rd NW, Rome, GA 30165.

Lottie Mae Pharr Alton Fry Pierce, 97, Ringgold
Lottie Mae Pharr Alton Fry Pierce, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017. She was 97.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a member of Nellie Head Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Sweetwater where she worked for 15 years, and was a former employee of Catoosa County where she worked for the library for 2 years. Lottie drove a bus for Walker County Seniors and was a member of the Ringgold Nutrition Center.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Paris Alton, James Albert Fry and Verlin Pierce; daughter, Faye Belyeu; parents, Calvin Jarrett Richard and Pearl Mae Crump Pharr; sister, Thelma Carden; and four brothers, Otis, Howard, J.C. and Burgess Pharr.
Survivors include: Three children, Richard (Reba) Alton of Ringgold, Ga., James Fry of Ringgold, Ga., and Jan Darling of Oxford, Ohio.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, Jan. 18, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Graveside service: Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at Anderson Cemetery with Chaplain Tommy Deal officiating.

Darcy Ann Frank, 65, Rock Spring
Darcy Ann Frank, of Rock Spring, Ga., passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017. She was 65.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, she has lived in the North Ga. area for the past 42 years and was formerly of Whittier, Calif.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald William and Kitty Lee Moore Frank.
Survivors include: Her two sisters, Melinda Frank (Jim) Simons of Orinda, Calif. and Katie Sue Frank (Joel) Blevins of Ringgold, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

Charles Vernon Cook, 84, Chattanooga
Charles Vernon Cook, of Chattanooga, Tenn., went home to be with The Lord and Savior Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017. Charles passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 84.
He was born in Dickson, Tenn. to the late Otho and Aline Sykes Cook. He had resided for the past sixty years in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Charles served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Japan during the Korean War.
He worked for several years at the Cavalier Corporation in Chattanooga.
In his later years, he loved watching Western movies and the Andy Griffith Show.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters and brothers.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Owensby Cook; daughter, Rebecca Cook both of Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Timothy (Tina) Cook of Trion, Ga.; daughter, Patricia Nall; granddaughter, Denise Nall; greatgranddaughter, Amber Nall; brother, Harold Cook; sister, Louise Lowery, all of Clarksville, Tenn.
Visitation: Friday, Jan. 20, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday morning after noon prior to the service.

Wilma Jean Huggins Neal, 83, West Armuchee Community
Wilma Jean Huggins Neal, 83, of the West Armuchee Community passed away peacefully at Our Country Home Assisted Living Facility in the Villanow Community surrounded by her family and a loving staff on January 18, 2017.
She was a loving wife and a great Mother to her children, daughter, Anita Neal Shattuck, son-in-law Phil Shattuck, son, Brian Windom Neal and daughter-in-law Anita Head Neal. She was the best Grandmother ever to grandchildren, Cole, Brandon and Ashlee Shattuck, John and Jacob Neal. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 60 years John Windom Neal, parents, Cecil Franklin Huggins, Vera Huggins and Delta Huggins; brothers, Troy and Waymond (Sonny) Huggins, sister, Orene Bowman, brother-inlaws, Ed Bowman, Bob Fitzpatrick, Herschel Davis and Joe McClure. Surviving siblings include Lebron(Myra) Huggins, Smyrna TN, Joel(Barbara) Huggins, Deauana Fitzpatrick, Jerry(Carolyn) Huggins, Glenda Davis all of the W Armuchee Community, Katherine McClure, LaFayette, sister-in-law, Annette Huggins, LaFayette.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where she taught the pre-school Sunday School class for more years than anyone can remember and also served as the Secretary/ Treasurer as well as many other jobs in the church. She worked Dell Rhubb Chenille plant years ago but quit to stay home and raise a family. Wilma did some volunteer work and did various small jobs in the community. She loved working in the yard, cooking, canning, freezing and spending time with her grandchildren. She had many friends that the family would like to thank for being there for her all of these years to support and love her through her lengthy fight with the awful aggressor that took the loving and kind Wilma that we knew way to soon. While we will all miss her smile and hugs we know that she has gone to be with God and will no longer suffer. We also know Daddy was waiting at the Pearly Gates alongside Our Lord to welcome her home and those of use that knew her well know that is what she was looking forward to.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

William Richard Peek, 84, LaFayette
William Richard Peek, age 84, of LaFayette passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. He was born in Rosalie, Alabama on January 18, 1932 to the late Charles Edward Peek and Mary Myrtle Peek. Richard graduated from Kirkman High School in Chattanooga and retired from Combustion Engineering as a nuclear technician. He loved playing golf and traveling and was a life-time member of LaFayette Elks Lodge #2018.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Dale Peek and daughter, Elisa Renee Holmes.
Survivors are his loving wife of 64 years, Jeanene Annette Peek of LaFayette; daughter, Annette (Rodney) Webb; son, Ricky (Jamie) Peek all of LaFayette; brothers, Kenneth (Charlotte) Peek of Chattanooga and Jimmy (Darlene) Peek of Rosalie, Ala; sisters, Wilma Echols (John) and Judy (Ron) Patterson all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Trey (Larissa) Narmore, Billy Narmore, Susan DeBord, Dustin Peek, Devan Peek, Allison Webb, Burton Webb, Kelsey Logan, and Kayla Logan; 10 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Harold Dean Bowers age 65, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017.
He was born in LaFayette, Georgia to the late Orvell “Cotton” Bowers and Jimmie Christine Dilbeck Bowers. He was a steel worker and enjoyed moving around to various places for work mostly with Lloyd Matthews Construction. He was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Terry Dewayne Bowers and niece: Melanie Bowers.
