Meadows, the fourthleading scorer in the state according to stats complied by MaxPreps at 25.8 points per game, added to that average on Friday.

The senior guard had 21 points in the first half and finished with 31 as the Lady Panthers (11-10, 5-4) completed the season sweep of their county and region rivals with a win in LaFayette’s Dan Priest Gymnasium.

Meadows also had five steals for the Blackand-White, who led 14-5 after one quarter of play and 33-15 at intermission.

The visitors from Rossville would put the game away in the third, outscoring the Lady Ramblers, 18-8, as both teams emptied the benches in the final eight minutes.

Amaya Harrington

had eight points and four boards in the victory, Brylee Dunn had six points, 10 rebounds, five blocks and four assists. Haley Sandridge and Fran King combined for 15 rebounds to aid the cause.

Ridgeland will look to improve on their record this Friday when they travel to Pickens for a 6 p.m. region game. They will return home the following day to face Trion at 4 p.m. in a nonregion game.

The Lady Panthers will close out the regular season with two games against seventhranked Heritage. They will host the Lady Generals on Tuesday, Jan. 31 before playing at Heritage on Friday, Feb. 3. Friday’s game is a makeup from a game postponed by weather back in early January.
