Senior Logan Teasley led off last Monday’s game with a single, but that would be the only hit the LaFayette Ramblers would muster in a 4-0 season-opening setback to Dade County.

Ty Fisher pitched two innings and fanned two for the home team. A.J. Buck pitched three innings and finished with five strikeouts, while Ethan Stephenson struck out four batters in 1 2/3 innings of work.

Teasley struck out six to get the win on the mound in the opening game of Friday’s home doubleheader, while Caleb Trammell finished up the game with one shutout inning on the hill.

Teasley, Brady Anderson and Chase Elliott each had three hits. Anderson racked up a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, while Teasley also collected three RBIs. Stephenson had a pair of hits, while Chase Smith, John James, and Buck added one hit each. Buck also finished with two RBIs.
