away on January 18, 1993. They worked in the textile industry until retirement and raised four children (their first child died shortly after his birth). Pauline and F.G. were founding members of Bible Baptist Church in Rossville where both remained active during their lives. Pauline was the family historian keeping us abreast of all changes and events in the life of family, relatives and friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, F.G., sons, James Miller, Rex Lamar, and Charles Franklin, Sr; five brothers, Willie Edwards, Bob Edwards, Franklin Gallaher, Lowe Elmer Gallaher, and Clyde Gallaher; sisters, Jennie Lou Carpenter, Mary Bell “Nannie” Taylor, and Jewel Gallaher; two great-grandchild­ren, Jonathan Wall and Gina Atkins.

She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Petty Mullins and husband Eldon of Rossville; son, Harold Martin Petty, Sr., and wife, Brenda of Rossville; daughter-in-law, Joyce Strickland Petty Rogers of Ringgold; grandchild­ren, Kim Mullins (Wayne) Wall of Kennesaw, GA, Vicki Mullins (Rick) Miller of East Ridge, TN, Janet Mullins (Mike) Rearden of Buford, GA, Karen Petty of Stephens, City, VA, Harold Martin “Mark” Petty, Jr. of Rossville, Charles Franklin “Pete”(Sonya) Petty, Jr., of Chatsworth, GA, and Page Petty (Tyler) Durham of Smyrna, TN; thirteen great-grandchild­ren, fifteen great-greatgrand­children, two great-great-greatgrand­children, numerous other close family members that she loved and cherished.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18th at 2:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Ricky Gravley officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

Deborah Anne Douglas, 58, Ringgold

Deborah Anne Douglas, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in preparatio­n for Easter.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late, Edwin & Mildred Schmook, but had lived in the Chattanoog­a & North Georgia areas for most of her life.

She was a valued member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher and was involved with the Youth Programs.

She was currently employed with Memorial Hospital as a Billing Specialist going on 37 years and loved going to the beach, traveling to Gatlinburg and visiting relatives in Chicago. Her main passions in life were playing with her precious granddaugh­ter, the love & care for her family and her work at the hospital. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother and “Mimi” who will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children & spouses, Nicholas & Amber Douglas of Atlanta, GA and Victoria & James Breazeale of Ringgold, GA; brother & sisterin-law, Ralph & Faye Schmook of Evansville, TN; sisters & brother-inlaw, Cheryl Bradford of Benton, TN and Laura & Rhea Ford of Hixson, TN; 1 granddaugh­ter, Robin Breazeale; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor H. Christophe­r Sheets officiatin­g. The body will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.

Entombment will follow in the Calvary Gardens Mausoleum.

James B. Stoner, 87, of Chickamaug­a, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017.

He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of the Chattanoog­a Valley Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints.

He had worked most of his life as a Heavy Machine Operator and was a Mason for more than 66 years and a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM.

He loved being outdoors camping, fishing and collecting old relics. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfathe­r who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Sarah Stoner; son, Bobby Dean Stoner; brother, Willie Banjo Stoner and sister, Annie T. MaHaffey.

Dorothy Auda Warren, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at age 95.

She was born in Moodysvill­e, TN to the late John Adam Beatty and Elva Story.

Dorothy loved Jesus and her family unconditio­nally.

She had been a resident of Catoosa County for the past 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Venable Turner and Harvey Warren; daughter, Brenda Dunn; great grandson, Ryan Fair; four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Parsons, Betty (Tom) Curry, Elaine (George) Lowery and Judy Martin; sisters, Georgie Simmons and Billie Randolph; 10 grandchild­ren, 16 great grandchild­ren, 10 greatgreat grandchild­ren, many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank, in house caregivers, Charlotte and Scarlett Fair. The team from Tapistry Hospice of Georgia for their loving and dedicated care over an extended period: Dr. Wm. Horton, Kelly, Brittany, Steffanie, Mary, Holly and Dianna.

Deborah “Debbie” Louise Gray Campbell age 59, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Saturday – April 15, 2017.

She was born in LaFayette, Georgia and had been a lifelong resident of Walker County.

She retired this past February from the Walker County Board of Education where she taught for twenty nine years. She loved her students and taught at North LaFayette Elementary, South Rossville Elementary and Rossville Elementary.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially at her favorite place in Mexico Beach, Florida.

She was of the Methodist faith.

She is preceded in death by grandparen­ts: Scott and Ester Gray, Grady and Cora Lee Swafford and her beloved sister: Lynn Gray Turner.

She is survived by her mother: Kathleen Swafford Brock of Ringgold, GA, father: Harold (Nelda) Gray, Sr., of Higdon, AL, daughter: Blakely (Victor) Burgess of LaFayette, GA, brother: Harold “Hal” Gray, Jr., of Rossville, GA, grandchild­ren: Megan Harris, Cassi Harris, Tatum Burgess and Mallorie Burgess, great-grandchild­ren: Malia Candelario and Daniel Morris, niece: Hali Gray and nephew: Zack (Allison) Turner.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday and after 11:00 am Tuesday prior to the service.

Karen Arlene Helton Austin, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday April 20, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a member of Philadelph­ia Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, David Lamar Austin; son Brian David Austin; parents Harold and Lillie Epps Helton; and grandparen­ts, Marvin and Myrtle Helton and Walton and Minerva Epps.

She is survived by two brothers, Blaine (Gail) Helton, and David Helton; adopted brother, Casey Westra; great uncle, B.C. Epps; and numerous cousins; special friends, Darla Crawford, Lynn Latimer and Gail Borders.

David Lamar Austin, 59, Ringgold

David Lamar Austin, 59, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday April 16, 2017.

A lifelong resident of the Dalton, Ringgold area, He was an employee of the Catoosa County Board of Education where he drove a bus for 7 years, a member of Philadelph­ia Baptist Church, and was the lead singer with the Willow Creek Quartet for 7 ½ years.

He is preceded in death by his son, Brian David Austin, and his grandparen­ts that raised him Clarence and Bula Scott.

At the time of his passing he was survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Karen Helton Austin of Ringgold, GA.; brothers-in-law, Blaine (Gail) Helton and David Helton; adopted brother, Casey Westra; sister, Melba (Jerry) Palmer; brothers, Robert Cook, Dock Smith and Dale Smith; special cousins, Carol and Lamar Jordan.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lindsey Crawford for all she done for David and the family during this time.
