Saddle Ridge hosts annual tourney

The LaFayette Golf Course hosted the fourth annual Saddle Ridge Family Golf Tournament on Saturday with a total of 12 teams taking part in the select shot event.

The young guns from LaFayette - Grant Langford, Riley Grant, Tyler Jackson and Gage Smith - took first place. A three-man team comprised of Jacob Carlock, Daniel Vaughn and Zach Oliver finished second, while Riley Mitchell, Steve Wilson, Robert Lyle and Robby Lyle took third.

Langford won the Closest to the Pin award, while David Lawson took home the prize for Longest Drive.

Camp New Dawn tournament

Camp New Dawn will hold its fifth annual golf tournament on Saturday, April 29 at the LaFayette Golf Course. The four-person scramble event will begin with lunch at 12 noon, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top teams and prizes will also be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. For more informatio­n or to register, call 706-5392235.

Mulligans Fore Missions

Christ First Church of Rock Spring will hold its “Mulligans Fore Missions” Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 6 at the LaFayette Golf Course. Registrati­on will take place at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at 12 noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

Entry fee is $300 per team in the fourplayer scramble, which includes greens fees, carts, lunch, beverages and goody bags. There will be awards for the top three teams, along with prizes for longest drive, closest to the hole and a hole-in one.
