SCHOOLS ·The LaFayette High School Key Club will be hosting the annual “Night of a Thousand Stars” Talent Show and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 29,, at 7:30pm in the LaFayette High School Auditorium. This event is a fundraiser for the LHS Key Club to help raise funds for members to attend the Key Club Internatio­nal Convention in San Antonio, Texas, in July. Doors will open and bidding for the silent auction will begin at 7pm and admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 & under. (The Silent Auction is a free event.)

SCHOOLS · The Communitie­s In School Duck Derby is a “must see” event where hundreds of numbered rubber ducks are launched into the Chickamaug­a Creek in Ringgold. These rubber ducklings will race toward the finish line for a chance to win $1,000 plus other prizes. The Duck Derby will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Clark Park located on Robin Road in Ringgold. Admission is free. You can purchase a duck to enter the race now by going to www. ciscatoosa.org. Ducks start at $10. Ducks will also be sold at the event prior to the race. Live entertainm­ent: The Mules will perform at 11:30 a.m. and the Duck Parade will start at 12:30 pm. Craft vendor, food, inflatable­s and much more.
