MEETING · Commissioner Shannon Whitfield will give the 2017 State of the County Address at the Walker County Chamber’s April Membership Luncheon. Sponsored by CHI Memorial, and will take place from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, at the Walker County Civic Center. Among the topics the Commissioner plans to address are: codes enforcement, economic development projects and new quick response vehicles that will be placed at fire stations to respond to medical calls. Fees/ Admission: $15 for members, $20 for non-members or$115 corporate table (8 seats). Registration will end on Sunday at midnight prior to the event, no walkins will be accepted.
