Joseph Winston “Stonewall” Jackson, 88, LaFayette

Joseph Winston “Stonewall” Jackson, of LaFayette, Ga., passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was 88.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Stonewall was a salesman for Walter Jackson Chevrolet in Ringgold and LaFayette for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Dean Henson Jackson; parents, Walter Jackson and Eva Carter Jackson; and brothers, Milton, Benny and Walter Lee.

Survivors include: daughters and sonsin-law, Donna (Ed) Jackson Serine of Fairfax Va., Dianne Jackson Whittemore of LaFayette, Darlene (Greg) Jackson Guthrie of Lakemont, Ga. and Gayle (Sam) Halverson Roistacher of Chattanoog­a; brother, William “Bill” (Inez) Jackson of LaFayette; grandchild­ren, Tammy Smith, Alison Brewer, Angie Roistacher, Travis Whittemore, Tanya West, Rachel Henderson, Amanda Kizziah, Scott Guthrie and Samantha Guthrie; 14 great-grandchild­ren; one great-greatgrand­child; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral service: from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Saturday, May 6 at 11 a.m.

Burial: Gordy Memorial Gardens.

Robert “Bob” Lively, 89, LaFayette

Mr. Robert “Bob” Lively, of LaFayette, Ga., passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017. He was 89.

Bob retired from Regal/ Mount Vernon Mill in Trion, Ga., with 34 years perfect

attendance.

Preceded in death by his son, Steve Lively and daughter, Mary Jo Mitchell.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 38 years, Mae Storey Lively; grandchild­ren, Tiffany Raines of Summervill­e; David ( Jennifer) Mitchell, Terry (Christy) Mitchell all of LaFayette, and Tony (Carrie) Lively of Trion; step-son, Larry Stansell of LaFayette; daughterin-law, Becky Lively of Summervill­e; thirteen great-grandchild­ren; ten great-greatgrand­children; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation: Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-9 p.m.

Funeral service: from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Chris Holman and grandson Tony Lively officiatin­g.

Burial: Trinity Cemetery.
