Mary Jane Hollingswo­rth, 46, Rossville

Mary Jane Hollingswo­rth, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was 46.

Mary Jane liked crafts, country music and animals.

Survivors include: Her mother, Mary “Lib” Brown Hollingswo­rth; her father, Harvey Hollingswo­rth; daughter, Justene M. Hollingswo­rth; son, Jeremy Brandon Babb; two grandchild­ren, Caleb and Phoenix; companion, David Ashburn; four special cousins, Sara Roach, Shelly Roach, Kellie Brown, Kevin Brown; special uncle and aunt, Ken and Joyce Brown; special friends Pam Gosnell, Scott Gosnell.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Graveside service: Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Lookout Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery.

Crystal Mauldin Haswell, 38, Rossville

Crystal Mauldin Haswell, of Rossville, Ga., went to be home with her Lord and Savior and won her 14 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was 38.

Crystal was a 1997 graduate of Lakeview High School and loved working on cars. She worked at Dietz Body Shop and Walmart.

She was a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church.

A special “Thank you” is extended to Stacey and Rachel in the MIC unit and the entire staff of Memorial Hospital for the loving care that was given.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Mauldin; sister, Jackie Mauldin; grandmothe­rs, Erma Harris and Lucy Burgess Mauldin; grandfathe­r, Owen Harris; uncle, John Mauldin and brother-inlaw, Danny Dietz.

Survivors include: Her mother, Beth Mauldin; brother, Donnie (Amy) Mauldin; sisters, Starla Dietz and Trina (Mike) Keith; four nephews, two nieces, three great-nephews and several cousins.

Kenneth “Ken” David Hamill, 83, Fort Oglethorpe

Kenneth “Ken” David Hamill, of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. He was 83.

A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a Life Member of the Internatio­nal Union of Painters and Allied Trades #226, was a Journeyman Painter, and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard David and Mabel Shirley Hullander Hamill; twin brother, Keith Hamill; brother, James Hamill and sister, Marie Hullender.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 60 years, Barbara Farlett Hamill of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.; two children, Carolyn (Claude) Johnson of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and Tony (Chomsun) Hamill of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.; three grandchild­ren, Donnie (Shauna) Altizer, K.T. Hamill and Keith (Amy) Hamill; five greatgrand­children, several nieces and nephews.

Roland Chapman, 84, Rossville

Roland Chapman, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. He was 84.

He was born in Ala., to the late Oscar and Nancy Chapman and had lived in the Trenton area for most of his life.

He retired from Yates Bleachery and attended Mission Ridge Baptist Church.

He enjoyed spending time at Flea Markets and being with friends and family.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include: the mother of his children, Ruby Jones of Tiftonia, Tenn.; children and spouses, Roy Chapman of Rossville, Ga., Reta and Larry Godfrey of Rossville, Ga, J.R. and Helen Chapman of Hixson, Tenn. and Reba and Keith Jones of Jasper, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, Milburn and Sally Chapman of Tiftonia, Tenn.; nine grandchild­ren; numerous greatgrand­children and extended family and friends.

Visitation: after 5 p.m., Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Funeral service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 3, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Ted Verville officiatin­g.

Burial: at 1 p.m. EST at Fuller Cemetery in Ider, Ala.

Janice Alyse Ledbetter Palmer, 69, Rossville

Janice Alyse Ledbetter Palmer of Rossville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She was 69.

She was born in LaFayette, Ga. and had been a lifelong resident of the Northwest Georgia area.

She was a former employee of Galaxy Carpet in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. and was the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Ledbetter; mother, Ruby Shipps and sister, Carolyn “Doni” Longwith.

Survivors include: Her sister, Ann Poole of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Larry Ledbetter of Ringgold, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, in the chapel with Reverend Kyle Taylor officiatin­g.

A lifelong resident of the North Georgia, Chattanoog­a area. He was an employee of UniFirst and was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Franklin Cantrell Sr. and son, Steven Cantrell Jr.

Survivors include: His mother Robin Mines; step-father, Dorton Harris; two daughters, Brittany Cantrell and Kayla Cantrell; fiancé, Holly Hamilton; three brothers, Danny (Vanessa) Lynn, Jeffery Lynn and Paul Cantrell Jr.; two sisters, Robin Sanders and Krista Gant; grandson, Mason Cantrell; several nieces and nephews.

Max was a Marine Corps Veteran, retired store manager for Goodyear Tire, and retired Territory Sales Manager for Cooper Tire.

Preceded in death by son, Stuart; parents, Clayton and Pauline Rowlette; and brothers, Ed and HC.

Survivors include: His wife of 52 years, Delane; son, Clay; brother, Don; sister, Miron McGraw; grandchild­ren, Zak, Josh, Amber and Jason Rowlette; and one great grandson, Jaxon Rowlette.

Peggy Sue Johnson Goins, 55, Rossville

Peggy Sue Johnson Goins, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her residence. She was 55.

Peggy was born in Louisiana on July 29, 1962, to her parents, Jack and Mary Johnson and has spent most of her life in the Rossville, Ga. area.

She worked as a Manager with Dollar General Stores for several years.

She was of the Church of God faith and attended
