Robert “Bobby” Thomas Anderson, 79, Rossville

Robert “Bobby” Thomas Anderson, of Rossville, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at his residence. He was 79.

Mr. Anderson was a lifelong resident of Rossville and was born on April 5, 1938, to the late Carl and Lilly Anderson.

He was a Rossville High School graduate and was retired from Catoosa County where he worked as a building inspector. He also previously worked with IBEW Local #175 as an electricia­n.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Takisawa, Japan.

Mr. Anderson was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, building, boats, watching NASCAR racing and Georgia Bulldog’s football. He loved spending time with his family and also loved his dogs, Trinity, Chelsea and Oscar.

In additions to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Anderson and two nephews, Jody Anderson and Toby Painter.

Survivors include: his wife, Linda Anderson; daughters, Debbie (Chuck) Higdon, Annette (Scott) Jackson, Natasha Frye and Holly (Darryl) Forster; step-children, Amy Britt, Chad Drake and Kyndal Drake; 10 grandchild­ren; 7 greatgrand­children; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, in the South Crest Chapel.

Graveside services: will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, at TennesseeG­eorgia Memorial Park with Chuck Higdon officiatin­g.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Ronald McDonald house.
