Dorton Lee Harris, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his residence. He was 60.

A native and lifelong resident of the north Georgia area, Mr. Harris was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a self-employed roofer. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and spending time with his family. Dorton was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Dorton and Anna Marie Harris; son, Steven Cantrell and one sister.

Survivors include: his wife, Robin Mines; sons, Danny (Vanassa) Lynn, Jeffery Lynn and Paul (Kelly) Cantrell; daughters, Robin Harris and Danielle Shook; daughter-in-law, Holly Cantrell; step-children, Jed, Joe and Deanna Holt; grandchild­ren, Paul Cantrell, III, James Cantrell, Jasmine Cantrell, Alexis Lynn, Kiley Cantrell, Hayley Perkins, Darian Lynn, Arianne Lynn, Roger Lee Cantrell, Danny Lynn, Jr., Daniel Lynn, Alan Ramsey, Laney and Eli Jones; greatgrand­son, Mason Cantrell.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral services: will be held Wednesday, June 14, at 1:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with burial to follow in the Chattanoog­a National Cemetery with full military honors.
