Tennessee. Prior to that, he was a sales representative for several major consumer product companies. He was a member and past quartermaster of VFW Post 1289. Known affectionately as “Bob” to his family and friends, he felt his success could be measured in the lives of his children.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Silvey; father, Jefferson Davis Rickett; and brother, Charles Rickett.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Trinka Mercer Rickett; son, Jeffrey D. Rickett, Cedartown, GA; daughters, Karen (Tim) Baxter, Jasper, TN; Rhonda (James) Rodgers, Ringgold, GA; brother, David (Tammy) Smith, Jasper, TN; sisters, Cathi (John) Barnett, Huntsville, AL; Deanna (Roger) Burk, Soddy-Daisy, TN; grandchildren, Brooke, Bradley and Bailey Baxter, Jasper, TN and Brett, Haley and Garrett Rodgers, Ringgold, GA.
Graveside services: 10:30 AM on Monday, July 31, 2017 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with special friend, Charles Kerin officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp.

JoAnn Crawford, 84, Rossville
JoAnn Crawford, 84, of Rossville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born in Chattanooga on June 26, 1933 to the late James Howard and Lucille Holt. She retired from the Walker County School System, Ridgeland High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and lived the rest of her life as a faithful follower of Christ. She was a member of the Rossville First Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husband, Rayburn “Bo” Crawford, brother, John Howard.
Survivors include her children, Deborah (Jeff) Widener, Rayburn Crawford Jr., Rodney (Teresa) Crawford and Bradley (Amanda) Crawford, brother, Dan Howard, sisters, Sherry McGill and Polly Daughtry, nine grandchildren, Michael Haney, Heather Tudor, Daniel Crawford, Amanda Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Megan Crawford, Chase Crawford, Rachel Crawford and Cady Crawford, six greatgrandchildren, Blake Haney, Danny Crawford, Emma Lamb, Braxton Tudor, Millie Lamb and Camden Crawford, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services: 12:30 PM on Monday, July 31, 2017 in the South Crest Chapel with her brother, Dan Howard officiating.
Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.

Shirley Sue Bing, 79, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 21, 2017. She was a member of Harbor Lights Baptist Church. Mrs. Bing was coowner of Shirley’s Truck Stop for 51 years.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, James E. Bing; her parents, Wilmer and Nettie Wallin Frye; sister, Mary Nell and brother-in-law, Henry E. Marks; brother, Bill and sister-in-law, Jewelene Frye and grandsons, Kenneth Shane Lowery and Kenneth Brown.
Survivors include daughters, Kathy Landin of Orlando, Fla., Darlene Pendergrass (Jeff Thomas) of LaFayette, Annette Bing of Summerville, Debbie (Tommy) Lowery of Rome, Melissa (Phillip) McCollum of Rome, and Kristy D. Ruth Joyce Freeman Love, 75, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a former employee of Hutcheson Home Health where she worked for over 15 years as a CNA and was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Willard Sheridan and Minnie Elizabeth Jenkins Freeman; sister, Evelyn Haire; and four brothers, Willard Freeman Jr., Richard Freeman, Rupert Freeman and Robert Freeman.
She is survived by four children, David Love of Ringgold, GA., Jackie (Ron) Pence of Ringgold, GA., Janet Love of Ringgold, GA., and Jennifer (Michael) Boleman of Mobile, AL.; five grandchildren, Nathan Love, Daniel Pence, Matthew Pence, Rachel Pence and Rebecca Boleman; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services: 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 28, 2017 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

Ricky Byron Norris Sr., 57, of Chickamauga, passed away at a local healthcare facility on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He worked at Napier’s Feed Store. Survivors include his mother, Grace Pope, brothers, Tim, Greg and Ben Baggett; sister, Sharon Stephens; son Ricky Norris, Jr.;
grandsons, Tyler and Caden; several nieces and nephews.

Aubrey Allen Bradford, 77, Rossville
Aubrey Allen Bradford, age 77 of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, July16, 2017.
He lived most of his life in the North Georgia Area and was a member of Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard and retired from the grocery industry after more than 50 yrs. Aubrey was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Lena Shavers Bradford and sister, Linda Jane Bradford.
Aubrey is survived by his loving wife, of 58 yrs., Darlene Ketner Bradford; daughter, Renee (Brian) Irwin; siblings, John Lee (Kathy) Bradford, Elizabeth (James) Seale and Phillip (Karen) Bradford; grandchildren, Nicholas Draper, Brannon Draper and Cayman Irwin; and several nieces and nephews.

Bradley Michael Shelton, 25, of Fort Oglethorpe, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017.
Bradley was born in Fort Oglethorpe on July 22, 1991 to his parents, Michael and Roxanna Shelton. He graduated from Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School in 2011 and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing video games, music, camping and fishing. He also loved his children more than anything. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Deborah Haney, uncle, Dennis Shelton and his great-grandfather, Willie Lawson.
Survivors include his wife, Moriah Delray Shelton, parents, Michael and Roxanna Shelton, son, Bentley Shelton, daughters, Sophia and Brooklyn Shelton, brother, Noah Shelton and sisters, Ashley and Savannah Shelton.

Warren “Sonny” Hardie Williams, age 63, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017.
Sonny enjoyed swimming, walking his dog, and nature. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hardie Williams and Gwendolyn Chandler Williams.

She was a member of Dogwood Valley Baptist Church. Elisabeth graduated from Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Rock Spring, with a Cosmetology Diploma.

Trecia Whitten Asher
Trecia Whitten Asher, born February 28, 1970, moved to heaven on Monday, July 24, 2017.
Trecia was a member of Linwood Baptist Church where she enjoyed worshipping the Lord. Her pastor and church family were very special to her and she loved them dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Faye Whitten; and niece, Gracie Faye Howell.
Trecia is survived by her husband, Brent Asher; her sisters, Sandy (Frankie) Jones and Cheryl (Tony) Hughes; her brother, Brian (Angie) Whitten all of LaFayette; children, Justin Asher and Tia Mast; four grandchildren, Payton, Laine and Dixie Mast and Savannah Asher; and Jensine Bennett whom she loved like a daughter; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bobby Lee Daniel, age 64, of Chickamauga GA passed away Tuesday afternoon at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Bobby was a graduate of Kirkman High School in Chattanooga TN and was employed by Callahan Mechanical Contractors. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Daniel and Annis (Oaks) Daniel.
