LaFayette Middle earns volleyball sweep in Trenton

The Lady Ramblers varsity and JV volleyball teams took town Dade County last Tuesday night in Trenton.

The varsity match ended up 25-10 and 25-11, while LaFayette’s win in the JV match came by scores of 25-12 and 25-11.

The Lady Ramblers varsity got 100 percent serving from Kylie Grant, Shelby Madden, Bella Brown and Brittany Aguero. Shelley Warren had six aces and an assist. Madden picked up two aces and three assists. Brown collected five aces and a block, while Alex Wysong added five kills.

Kenedy Ludy led the team in service points and had 11 aces in the JV match. Sierra Cunningham finished with five aces and a kill. Brown and Erin Ball each recorded three aces, while Grant picked up two.

LaFayette (3-4 in varsity matches) was off this past Thursday. They were scheduled to return to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 5 to host Lakeview before a date at Heritage this Thursday.
