Middle School Volleyball: Lakeview enjoys 2-1 week

The Lakeview Middle School Lady Warriors claimed a three-set victory - 2125, 25-17 and 25-23 - over Dade County last Monday. The match was a make-up for a postponed match earlier in the year.

In the JV match, Lakeview pulled out a narrow victory by scores of 25-23 and 25-23.

No individual statistics were available as of press time.

The Lady Warriors got a tough tussle from visiting Rossville on Tuesday, but emerged with a 25-21, 25-21 victory.

Individual details for Lakeview were not provided.

For Rossville (211), Elliana Rodriguez had six aces and four kills. Elizabeth Bailey picked up five aces and recorded two kills. Brylee Benson and BreeAnna Ledford both served up two aces, while Erica Culberson, McKensie Miller and Ivey Stargel had one kill apiece.

In the JV match, Lakeview outlasted the Lady Bulldogs in three sets, 10-25, 25-19 and 15-9.

Individual details for Lakeview were not provided.

Bryanna Galindo had two aces and two kills for Rossville. Reece Waits finished with three aces and a kill. Rylee Waits recorded two aces and a kill, while Sarah Graham and Monica Velasquez each had an ace.

The Chattanoog­a Valley volleyball teams got tough tests from Lakeview on Thursday, but managed to pull out a pair of close victories.

The Lady Eagles (4-9) hung on for a 27-25, 25-19 win in the varsity match as Bailey Fowler had three kills, Lexie Young added two and Koda O’Dell finished with one. Annabel Hill had three aces, while Asia Silmon, Kaydence Johnson, Paris Shelton and Madison Lennon also played well.

Individual statistics for Lakeview (4-10) were not provided as of press time.

The JV match saw Chattanoog­a Valley win a three-setter, 25-27, 25-19 and 15-13. Alyssa Wooten had three aces for the Lady Eagles, followed by Caitlyn Smolik with two, while Brianna McQueen and Molly Pickard each had one.
