Darlene Daniels Mansfield, 62 of Flintstone, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanoog­a Valley & Flintstone Georgia areas and was of the Baptist faith. She was born in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on January 15, 1955 and attended Chattanoog­a Valley Elementary, Middle & High School. Her first employment was at Mar-Mode Hosiery Mill, before changing to Tipton Steele Erectors for several years. She was later employed by Chattanoog­a Crane and Rigging for more than 12 years and was a member of the Internatio­nal Union of Operating Engineers, Local #917. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene “Gene” Mansfield; mother, Ruby Jo Morton Daniels; grand-parents, E.C. & Ella Daniels and Orville & Lessie Morton; step-sister, Crystal Long; aunt, Hazel Morton and very special uncle, Gene Daniels.

Survivors include her loving companion and caregiver of 13 years, Steve Watson of Flintstone, GA; father & step-mother, Charles & Linda Daniels of Grandview, TN; brothers, Alan & (Selina) Daniels of Rossville, GA, Shannon Daniels of Grandview, TN and Chuck Daniels of Soddy Daisy, TN; sisters, Elayne Blansit of Hixson, TN; stepsister, Tara Braden of Palm Bay, FL; aunt & caregiver, Virginia Daniels of Flintstone, GA; her double first cousin, Mike & (Cece) Daniels of Hixson, TN; much loved stepchildr­en, Kathie & Mike Conry of Chattanoog­a, TN, Karen & Lamar Robinson of Ooltewah, TN and Tim & Karin Mansfield & 2 boys of Charlotte, NC; and a large number of cousins and extended family & friends.

Funeral services: 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Matt Logan officiatin­g.

Burial: Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.

Visitation: After 4:00 p.m. Thursday and prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
