Middle School Girls’ Basketball: Lakeview picks up two more league wins

Christina Collins had a game-high 18 points as the Lakeview Lady Warriors picked up a 41-17 win in Flintstone last Tuesday. Piper Piatt and Heidi Johnson both had six points. Kayla Lopez finished with four. Christen Collins added three, while Katelyn Bowman and Sydney O’Neil chipped in with two points each.

Madison Lennon had six points to lead Chattanoog­a Valley. Emma Yarbrough finished with four points, followed by Miriam Gaines with three, Katieann Thompson with two and Cate Voyles with two.

Lakeview 35, Gordon Lee 15

The Lady Warriors kept it going with a victory in Chickamaug­a on Thursday. Christina Collins had a team-best 12 points, followed by Christen Collins with seven and Johnson with six. Lopez scored four, while Bowman, Ashlyn Isbill and Zoey Martin all had two.

Emma Phillips had seven points to pace the Lady Trojans.

Gordon Lee 49, Rossville 4

Phillips had 11 points in a victory over Rossville last Tuesday. Tenslee Wilson finished with 10 points and Kaitlyn Wagoner had eight. Dallas Wagoner, Seanna Norton and Kylie Collins all chipped in with six points apiece.

Individual scoring for the Lady Bulldogs was not provided as of press time.

Chattanoog­a Valley 39, Rossville 20

In Thursday’s girls’ game, 16 points from Lennon and eight from Lexie Elswick led the way for the Lady Eagles in the win. Molly Pickard had seven points for CVMS. Haile Thompson had four points. Voyles finished with two, while Katieann Thompson and Autumn Pasley had one point each.

Shayla Rosson led Rossville with eight points, followed by Haylee Collins with five, Ardeja Battle with four and Jada Hall with three.

Ringgold 28, Dade County 21

Hannah Scott had nine points as the Lady Tigers picked up an important win in Trenton last Tuesday. Aubrey Lakin finished with six points, followed by Tahji Griggs with four, Cady Helton with three and Allie Massengale and Riley Burdette with two each.

Ringgold 27, LaFayette 14

In Ringgold on Thursday, Emily Love had 10 points in a balanced scoring effort for the victorious Lady Tigers (10-4 overall, 8-1 NGAC). Massengale finished with seven points. Griggs had four, while Burdette, Maddy Lee and Kinsley Forscutte all had two points.

For the Lady Ramblers, Michaela Baker had a team-high five points. Shelby Madden, Laney Rayburn, Suki Williams and Maggie Green all had two points, while Emma Baker finished with one.

Heritage 42, Saddle Ridge 17

The Lady Generals took control from the opening tip and rolled to a home win over Saddle Ridge last Tuesday. Dayonna Perryman had a team-high 13 points for Heritage, followed by 10 from Katy Thompson and six by Macie Collins.

FanTasja Barber had six points, for Saddle Ridge, while adding three rebounds and a steal. Haynie Gilstrap scored four, but pulled down 12 rebounds. Olivia Hitchcox had three points, followed by Lexi Baker and Mallony Mitchell with two each.

Trion 41, Saddle Ridge 23

Thursday in Trion, the Lady Bulldogs outshot the visiting Lady Mustangs, 64 percent to 24 percent, to claim the win. Baker and Barber had six points each. Baker added six rebounds, while Barber collected four boards and three steals.

Gilstrap (four points, five rebounds, two steals), Haven Yancy (four points, five rebounds, five steals) and Vianca Segarra (three points) contribute­d for the Navy-and-Red.
