Soccer: LaFayette boys rout Christian Heritage

Railee Lynn would get the clean sheet in net, while the backline of Ashton Stalling, Callie Payne, Gracie Hess, Caitlyn Watson and Darsey Shields would hold the Lady Lions to less than five shot attempts.

Wilson, Queen and Shelby Adkins were also noted for their play in the midfield.

Heritage girls 3, Southeast 0

Anna Boley picked up a hat trick on Friday night and the Heritage Lady Generals moved to 1-0 in Region 6-AAAA play with a win at Southeast Whitfield on Friday night.

Heritage (5-1 overall) got on the board in the fifth minute of the match as Sophie Roberts fed a streaking Boley, who beat the Southeast keeper one on one.

With 18 minutes left in the first half, Boley netted her second goal off an assist from Sophia Venable and she completed the hat trick eight minutes into the second half off an Emily Schoenborn assist.

Lexi Besh had 10 saves to record the shutout.

Southeast boys 3, Heritage 0

In the boys’ match, the Raiders knocked in three first-half goals and made them stand up in 3-0 win over the Generals, who dropped to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in region play. No further informatio­n had been provided as of press time.

Dade County girls 1, Ridgeland 0

Despite 16 saves by keeper Riley McBee, including a penalty kick, the Ridgeland Lady Panthers could not find the offense they needed in a home loss to Dade County on a rainy Thursday night in Rossville.

The Lady Wolverines got the only goal of the match in the 26th minute. Ridgeland (0-3-1) had 12 shots on goal, but could not get one in the back of the net.

Angelica Crowe, Anastasia Burkhart, Kaitlyn Durham, Anna Jenkins, Marina Mosgrove and Michelle Thomason all had shots for Ridgeland.

Ridgeland boys 1, Dade County 1

In the boys’ game, the Panthers moved to 2-1-1 on the year following a tie. Denilson Bautista scored unassisted on a nice solo effort early in the second half.

However, the Wolverines would get the equalizer following a restart with three minutes left in the match.

Ringgold is scheduled to start its season on Tuesday of this week with a pair of matches against Ridgeland.
