The Eagles from Atlanta used a 25-7 second quarter spurt to help them claim a region win in Chickamauga last Tuesday.

Dawson Knight had 10 points for the Trojans. Will Carswell finished with eight points. Cayden Powell had seven. Logan Simerley and Anthony Sikes scored six points apiece, while Cooper Jackson rounded out the scoring with three points.

The Trojans enjoyed a 28-19 advantage at inter

mission on Thursday, but the Panthers would get hot from the floor in the third quarter to take a 39-32 lead.

Gordon Lee would charge back in the final two minutes of the period. A 7-0 run, capped by a trey from Simerely with 13 seconds left on the clock, tied the game at 39 and set the stage for a frantic fourth. But three huge 3-pointers by the Panthers would keep the Trojans at arm’s-length before Ridgeland was able to put it away at the free throw line in the final minute of the game.

Simerley had a game-high 20 for Gordon Lee. Knight had 10 with a pair of threes and Carswell matched him with 10 points of his own. Powell added four points, followed by two by Hunter Holmes and one from Conner Whitman.
