Gordon Lee stays unbeaten in region play

The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans moved to 2-0 in Region 7-AA/A play after a win at Fannin County this past Tuesday.

Gordon Lee swept the Lady Rebels, 25-18, 25-12, and picked up a non-region victory over Union County, 2517, 25-13, to complete the tri-match.

Arilyn Lee had 14 kills on the night with Brooklyn Hudson adding 10. M.K. Roberts had 18 digs, while Emoree Rogers recorded five kills to go with 20 assists.

The Navy-and-White held serve at home on Thursday, sweeping both Rome and Christian Heritage in straight sets. Gordon Lee defeated Rome, 2517, 25-11, before a 25-9, 25-19 win over the Lady Lions from Dalton.

Sam Cramer had 21 assists, 16 digs and seven kills on the evening. Rogers collected 16 assists, nine kills and five blocks. Roberts had 15 digs and three aces. Lee finished with 12 kills and 11 digs, while Hudson hammered home 16 kills.

The Lady Trojans played in the ultra-tough Rally High Tournament at the Lakepoint Complex in Cartersvil­le on Saturday and qualified for the Gold

Bracket before finishing the day with a 3-1 record.

In pool play, Gordon Lee defeated Sprayberry (25-15, 25-13) and Etowah (25-15, 25-23) before beginning bracket play with a 25-19, 25-13 loss to tournament finalist Sequoyah. The Navy-and-White (22-3) would rebound with a 17-25, 25-20, 15-12 victory over Starr’s Mill to end the day.

Rogers finished with 44 assists and 18 digs. Cramer had 26 assists, 17 digs and 16 kills. Roberts collected 38 digs on the day. Hudson had 36 kills and 26 digs, while Lee added 23 kills and 15 digs.
