Tri-match splits keep Ringgold at .500 for the year

Ringgold traveled to Gordon County last Tuesday and earned a split in a pair of Region 6-AAA matches, defeating Rockmart, 25-11, 25-12, before a 25-12, 2519 loss to Sonoraville.

Destiny Cavin finished the night with seven kills, two aces, two blocks and five digs. Cady Helton had six kills, 10 digs, one ace and one block. Brooke Baldwin added four kills, two digs, one assist and one block, while Alayna Custer dished out 24 assists to go with four aces, three kills and 12 digs.

Allison Wolfe-Driver collected six kills and four digs. Tiffany Cavin had three kills. Meredith Fowler collected four aces, 10 digs and one assist. Erin Harvey added two aces, a kill and a dig, while Genna Pease had one kill, one block and one assist.

In JV action, Ringgold beat Sonoraville, 25-17, 25-21, 25-19. Individual statistics were not available as of press time.

Two nights later, Ringgold went on the road to Adairsville and split two more matches to remain at .500 both on the season and in region play.

The Blue-and-White opened the night with a 25-16, 25-23 loss to the hosts, but bounced back with a 27-25, 25-23 victory over

Murray County.

Helton finished with nine kills, five digs and one ace on the evening. Baldwin added eight kills, four digs, three aces and two assists. Wolfe-Driver recorded seven kills, five digs and one ace. Fowler had 18 digs, five aces and three kills, while Custer added 24 assists, 12 digs, three blocks, two kills and two aces.

Destiny Cavin had four aces, four kills, three blocks and five digs, while Harvey (seven digs), Pease (two digs, one block, one assist), Tiffany Cavin (two digs) and Halia Dean (one ace) also got on the stat sheet for Ringgold, who ended the week at 8-8 overall and 2-2 in 6-AAA.

The Lady Tigers’ JV team earned a sweep on Thursday, beating both Adairsville (25-18, 25-16) and Murray County (23-25, 25-16, 25-13).
