Davenport lifts Rossville to win over Chattanooga Valley
Decoda Davenport had nearly 300 all-purpose yards and accounted for five touchdowns in Rossville’s 52-18 home victory over Chattanooga Valley on Thursday.
Davenport ran for 191 yards on just six carries, scored three times and added a two-point conversion. He also threw for 103 yards, completing 2 of 3 passes, both for scores. One was a 55-yarder to Jayden Lambert, while he connected on a 48-yard scoring strike to Bryson Donald.
Donald picked up 113 yards on just seven carries with two rushing touchdowns and two conversions, while Cleyton Williams also had a conversion run for the Bulldogs.
Donald also led the defensive effort with six tackles and a sack. JaDarius Hinton made five tackles, broke up two passes and picked off another, while Eli Rhodes had a team-high eight tackles.
CVMS got 130 yards rushing and two TD’s from Malachi Brown, who also threw a TD pass to Jamarcus Lewis. Heath Gregg added 60 yards on the ground for the Eagles.
Heritage 17, LaFayette 0
The Heritage Generals moved to 3-0 with a win this past Thursday afternoon.
The Generals used the entire first-quarter clock to punch in a touchdown and added a field goal as the first half expired to take a 9-0 lead.
Heritage picked off a LaFayette pass in the third quarter, only to
see the Ramblers later return the favor at the LaFayette 2-yard line. But Heritage would get a safety on the very next play to go up 11-0 and they added a TD pass in the fourth to cap the scoring.

Porter Sentell recorded the interception for the Ramblers, while Jayven Williams, Luke Hopkins and Brennon Beavers were named as standouts on defense for LaFayette (1-1).
Ringgold 52, Saddle Ridge 0
The Tigers are now 3-0 after a road win on Thursday.
Judah Smith scored on runs of 52 and 44 yards, while adding a 56-yard interception return for a score. Logan Moore ran four times for 59 yards with a long of 40 yards and added a 32-yard TD catch and a pair of conversion runs.
Quarterback Haddon Fries was 2 of 2 in the air, including the 32yard scoring strike. He also scored on a 65-yard run and had a defensive score on a 64-yard fumble return. Jeremiah Frost picked up a 36-yard TD run, while Harbor Bent also had a pair of two-point conversion runs in the win.
Defensively, Fries recorded nine tackles, followed by Smith with eight and Rhett Blankenship with five. Ross Burgess also made five tackles, one for a loss, and added two quarterback hurries. Bent, Will Burgess and Jackson Lowery made four stops each, while William Matthews and Colt Underdown both made three tackles. One of Underdown’s was for a loss.
Frost, Elijah Pursley, Cam Talley and Zach Gaier all made two tackles, while Moore and Cam Denton had one tackle apiece. Denton also recovered a fumble.
Individual statistics for Saddle Ridge (1-3) were not available as of press time.
Ringgold won the JV game by a score of 22-6. The Tigers got touchdown runs from Brenden Steward (26 yards), Adam Mozingo (17 yards) and Brody Raby (12 yards). Raby also completed two passes to Burgess for twopoint conversions.
Gordon Lee 38, Dade 0
The Trojans stormed out to a 24-0 lead at halftime and coasted to a shutout victory over the Wolverines (0-3) on Thursday, moving to 3-1 on the season.

Trion 28, Lakeview 26
The final game of the week saw the Warriors drop a heartbreaker on the road to fall to 1-2 on the year. Trion improved to 2-1 with the win.
