Court clashes continue as teams head into Thanksgivi­ng break

The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans doubled up the Chattanoog­a Valley Lady Eagles, 28-14, in a JV girls’ contest last Monday night.

Riley Mull was the leading scorer for the Lady Trojans with 14 points. Hynleigh Harding and Mackayla Martin each added four points, while Anaston Cordell, Molly Corvin and Whitney Blaylock dropped in two points each.

Kailynn Bailey had a big night on the glass with 18 rebounds to go with five points for CVMS. Madi Simpson picked up three points and a pair of steals. Haydie Cheli scored two points and grabbed three boards. Alaina Shaver had two points, two steals and one assist, while Johnna Patterson added two points.

Heritage 27, Rossville 6 (JV)

The Lady Generals junior varsity team moved to 2-1 on the year with a win last Monday.

Nine different players got in the scoring column for Heritage, paced by five points from Paisley Collins and four each from Paityn Weldon, Molly O’Brien and Bre Roberts.

Ryleigh Dube, Karoline Chandler, Abby Wilson, Fallon Stafford and Ellie Kennedy all dropped in two points apiece.

Individual scoring for Rossville had not been provided as of press time.

Ringgold 29, Trion 15 (JV)

The JV Lady Tigers went on the road last Monday night and scored a victory.

After giving up the first basket of the game, Ringgold closed out the half on a 21-4 run and coasted from there.

Gracelee Thorton had 12 points, followed by Jillian Eaker with six. Rylee Hiple and Mya Tate both added four, and Grace Evans rounded out the night with three.

Saddle Ridge 22, LaFayette 21

In LaFayette, the varsity Lady Mustangs won their second straight nail-biter, beating their potential future teammates last Monday.

Macee Casteel scored 11 points and had three rebounds for Saddle Ridge. Lanie Hamilton put up a stat line of seven points, four steals and two rebounds. Tamra Yancy added two points, four boards and a steal. Jacey Wiggins had two points and one rebound, while Lexi Underwood chipped in with a rebound and a steal.

Emma House led all scorers with 14 points for LaFayette.

Saddle Ridge 21, LaFayette 19 (JV)

Last Monday night’s other game in LaFayette saw the visitors rally in the second half after trailing for most of the contest.

Erin Grant paced the Navy-and-Red with eight points. Kayona Pierce added six and Kristine Ellis had three points. Elliott Rogers rounded out the scoring with two, while Caylie Harrell was named a defensive standout.

Zoey Smith had a game-high 17 points for the Lady Ramblers.

Lakeview 26, Dade 5 (JV)

The Lady Warriors jumped out to an 11-0 halftime lead and rolled to an easy victory last Monday in junior varsity action.

Abigail Rifenberic­k scored nine points for Lakeview, followed by Ayvah Langston with five. Jorja Fox and Mallory Spatafore scored four points apiece with Madelyn Samples and Allie Burke both adding two.

Chattanoog­a Valley 41, Gordon Lee 35

The Lady Eagles picked up an important road win last Tuesday.

JaMiah Lewis had a huge night with 21 points, 12 rebounds, seven steals, three

assists and two blocks, while Ava Mariakis picked up seven points, three rebounds and two assists.

Georgia Mae Anderson scored five points and grabbed nine boards, while Bralie Blevins had five rebounds. Trinity Silmon scored four points. Zoey Fleming had five boards to go with her two points, and Lexie Delaney chipped in with two points.

Camdyn Carter led Gordon Lee with 16 points, followed by Laney Wilson and Kynleigh Custer with five points apiece. Abby Logan and Kyleigh Custer rounded out the night with four points each.

Ringgold 39, Trion 6

The Lady Tigers cruised to a home win last Tuesday night as Tori Epps led a balanced scoring effort with 10 points.

Albany Jett had eight points, while Jersey Rae Loy and Eryn Epps both finished with six points. Braylee Raby, Alayna Yarger, Mattox Hollingswo­rth and Keeley Mountjoy all chipped in with two points

apiece. while Ariana Battle added one.

Lakeview 17, Dade 12

The Lady Warriors picked up their first victory of the season with a road win last Tuesday. The Red-andWhite held the Lady Wolverines to just two points in the first half.

Bryleigh Gray had six points for the Lady Warriors. Hope Alexander and Lizet Jimenez each scored four. Rebekah Howe dropped in three points and Brylee Pritchett picked up two.

Heritage 45, Rossville 4

The Lady Generals got 10 points from Kellie Boehm and nine apiece from Ema Tanner and Georgia Gracy in a win last Tuesday night in Boynton.

Bailee Hollis scored seven in the victory, followed by four from Chloe Fowler and two each from Adalie Phillips, Addi Dills and Bailey Walling.

Addyson Morrison had seven rebounds to aid the cause.

Kiara Williams and JaShayla Aaron had two points each for Rossville.

Ringgold 23, Saddle Ridge 10 (JV)

The Ringgold Lady Tigers improved to 4-1 overall and 4-0 in NGAC junior varsity play with a win over Saddle Ridge this past Wednesday.

Tate, Eaker and Katy Haddock all had six points in the victory. Thorton scored four and Evans add one.

Grant led the way for the Lady Mustangs with six points, followed by Pierce and Rogers wih two apiece.

Heritage 49, Trion 13

The Lady Generals are off to a 4-0 start, thanks to three players scoring in double figures on Thursday. Gracy had 14 points, five rebounds and five steals, Boehm scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds, while Dills added 13 points and eight steals.

Hollis finished with six points, while Tanner rounded out the stats with two points and five boards.

Chattanoog­a Valley 50, LaFayette 24

The Lady Eagles are now 3-1 after JaMiah Lewis put up a triple-double in LaFayette on Thursday. Lewis

had 20 points, 12 rebounds and 11 steals, while Mariakis had 14 points, five steals and two assists.

Blevins had six points and 10 boards. Anderson had five points and 10 boards, and Silmon scored five points and recorded three steals.

Zoey Smith had 13 points to account for more than half of the points for the Lady Ramblers (1-3).

Chattanoog­a Valley 30, LaFayette 8 (JV)

In the junior varsity game, Simpson had 10 points for the Lady Eagles, followed by six each from Cheli and Bailey. Sha Elliott added four points, while Shaver and Sky Cochran each had two to round out the scoring.

Individual statistics for the Lady Ramblers had not been provided as of press time.

Ringgold 50, Saddle Ridge 14

The Lady Tigers won the battle of the unbeatens on Thursday, moving to to 4-0 on the season.

Raby had 13 points for the Lady Tigers, while Yarger knocked down two 3-pointers and finished with 12 points.

Eryn Epps finished with six points, followed by Mountjoy with five. Tori Epps,

Loy and Jett each scored four, while Hollingswo­rth rounded out the scoring with two points.

Casteel and Hamilton each scored six points for Saddle Ridge (3-1), while Wiggins added two points. Yancy collected two steals and one rebounds and Underwood had a steal and a rebound.

Heritage 31, Trion 2 (JV)

The junior varsity Lady Generals are now 3-1 after a big home win over the Lady Bulldogs on Thursday.

Bre Roberts had eight points, followed by Paisley Collins with six and Patyn Weldon with four. The scoring was rounded out with two points apiece from Camie Keith, Molly O’Brien and Serenity Ellard.

Rossville 28, Dade 24

The Lady Bulldogs pulled off a dramatic four-point home victory on Thursday to improve to 1-3 on the season and earn their first win of the year.

By late in the fourth quarter, four of Rossville’s eight players had fouled out, but the defense held its ground and was able to gut out a W.

Adasia Binford poured in a team-high 11 points to pace

the offense. Briannah Carson added five points, followed by Williams with four. Aaron and Addison Watkins each had three, while two points by Ava Fowler rounded out the scoring.

Gordon Lee 38, Lakeview 10

Carter poured in 14 points and Logan and Mull each had seven as the Lady Trojans improved to 2-2 on the season on Thursday.

Kyleigh Custer had four points, while Kynleigh Custer, Molly Ellis and Wilson added two each. Marley Stone collected four rebounds and three steals.

Howe led the Lady Warriors (1-3) with four points, while Alexander, Piper Brown and Mia Valdes scored two apiece.

Gordon Lee 28, Lakeview 15 (JV)

The Lady Trojans picked up the win on Thursday behind 10 points from Blaylock and seven from Corvin.

Ally Ross chipped in with four points and three from Brenley Burnette, while two apiece from Harding and Martin completed the scoring.

The Lady Warriors got nine points from Rifenberic­k and six from Langston.
