THE REST OF THE 2021 GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY DREAM TEAM

♦ Claire Brumfield (Fr., Ringgold)

— The rookie jumped right in and found a place among a veteran group with three top-eight finishes in 10 races, including one at the Region 6-AAA meet, and ran a season-best 23:19 in a meet at Heritage.

♦ Mia Callahan (Jr., Heritage)

— A consistent leader for the alwayscomp­etitive Lady Generals, the junior ran a season-best 22:50 at a meet on her own home course and added a 23:06 at the Region 7-AAAA Championsh­ips before a 24:29 at state.

♦ Sara Collins (So., Ringgold) — She enjoyed a solid season for the ever-improving Lady Tigers with two times under 25 minutes on the year, including a season-best 24:43 in Dalton, plus a victory during a dual meet with LFO.

♦ Cora Fehr (Jr., Gordon Lee) — The Lady Trojans got solid times all season from the veteran runner, who placed third at the Walker County Championsh­ips, 11th at the Region 6-A Public meet, a sub-26 at state and a season-best 25:07 at Heritage.

♦ Alexis Faul (Sr., Heritage) — Another steady presence in the Lady Generals’ lineup, she ran a season-best 24:03 at Heritage in late September and went under 25 minutes again at the region meet before clocking a 25:23 at state.

♦ Ava Keener (Jr., Ringgold) — The standout placed ninth at the LaFayette Invitation­al, fourth at the 6-AAA Championsh­ips with the Lady Tigers’ lowest time of the year (22:56), and had Ringgold’s fastest time at state with a 23:34.

♦ Lila Langston (So., Heritage) —

She took nearly a full minute off of her average time from last year, thanks to a 24:17 at the region championsh­ips in Jasper and a season-best 23:40 at the Southern Showcase in Huntsville, Ala.

♦ Allie Mifflin (Sr., Heritage) —

The senior rounded into form over the last half of her final season and had a season-best 24:54 at the 7-AAAA Championsh­ips before running a 26:13 at the Class AAAA state finals in Carrollton.

♦ Raegan Pitts (Jr., Ringgold) — A solid runner for the Blue-and-White all season long, the junior stepped up late in the year to clock a season-best 23:46 at the region meet before crossing the finish line in 24:26 at state.

♦ Riley Poe (Jr., Ringgold) — The standout ran a sub-25 in each of her final six races of the year, including a season-best 24:02 at the Region 6-AAA Championsh­ips at Grove Level in Dalton and a 24:45 in Carrollton at the Class AAA state finals.

♦ Dakota Tabor (Jr., LaFayette) — Among her three top-12 showings this year were a fourth-place finish at the Walker County Championsh­ips and a season-best 23:59 in a 10th-place finish at the 6-AAA meet before she clocked a 24:10 at state.

♦ Madison Todd (Jr., LaFayette) — The junior ran a 24:10 alongside Tabor at state, while picking up three top-five finishes, including runner-up at the Walker County Championsh­ips, fifth at the LaFayette Invitation­al and third at the 6-AAA meet with a seasonbest 22:54.

♦ Honorable Mention: Addie Triplett (Gordon Lee); Haynie Jane Gilstrap (LaFayette); Anna Bradford, Lily Langston, Camryn McCormick, Mady Terry (Heritage); Mary Scott (Ridgeland)
