Chattanoog­a Valley boys pick up first two victories

Jamarcus Lewis had 15 points and Chattanoog­a Valley Eagles picked up their first win of the season last Tuesday as they edged out Walker County rival Rossville, 32-29.

Malachi Brown scored eight and Isiah Housley had four, all from the charity stripe. Luke Blevins led CVMS in rebounding with assistance from Aaron Sanders, Aiden Stone and Levi Blevins.

Leading scorers for the Rossville (2-4) were Cody Davenport with eight points and Jayden Lambert and Bryson Donald with six apiece.

CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 56, TRION 30

Two days later, CVMS (2-5) made it two behind a dominant 22 points and 11 steals from Lewis. Brown had 13 points, followed by Housley with seven and Hartley Workman with six.

Sanders and Levi Blevins did the work to lead the Eagles in rebounding.

CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 29, ROSSVILLE 22 (JV)

George Bednar had eight points and Massen Brundage scored seven as the Eagles collected a win early last week. Stryker Harden and T.J. Foster each scored six, while Josh Perry had two.

Rossville got a game-high 11 points from Kiyon Williams. Brandon Newport, Kaiden Williams and King Medford all chipped in with three, while the scoring was rounded out by one point apiece from Jamarion Binford and Braylen Helso.

CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 56, TRION 8 (JV)

Foster had 18 points and Harden finished with 11 as CVMS rolled to a big victory on Thursday. Brundage had seven points. Bednar and Jay’von Linder each scored six. Perry added four, followed by Colton Forester with three and Kase Stone with two.

HERITAGE 40, RINGGOLD 20

The Generals cranked up the defensive pressure last Tuesday night and picked up a win over the Tigers.

Balanced scoring was the name of the game for Heritage who got 11 points from Cooper Bell, nine from Cody Bryan, seven from Cayden Lowrey and six from Owen Carstens. Blake Debity scored five and Caden Strickland chipped in with two.

Trevor Jones had a teamhigh 10 points for the Tigers, followed by Trent Bender with six and Judah Smith with four.

HERITAGE 27, LAFAYETTE 16

The Generals stayed atop the NGAC regular season standings at 7-0 with a home victory over the Ramblers on Thursday.

Lowrey had eight points and Bell finished with six in the defensive battle. Carstens added four points. Noah Awotula had three, and Debity, Henry

Allen and Jake Johnson each finished with two.

Shi’Ray Walker had a teamhigh seven points for LaFayette. Brennan Ballard scored four points. Porter Sentell and Jayven Williams each had two, while LaTell Gholer added one.

RINGGOLD BOYS 50, DADE 18

The Tigers bounced back on Thursday as Bender poured in a season-high 19 points in a romp over the Wolverines.

Smith and Gavin Lakin each had 10 points for the Tigers (62), followed by Jones with eight and Blake Williams with three.

LAFAYETTE BOYS 52, LAKEVIEW 42

Down 27-23 at the break, the Ramblers clamped down on defense and held the Warriors to just 14 points in the second half in last Tuesday’s win.

Walker had a season-high 24 points for the Ramblers (6-2). Ballard added 11. Sentell and
