Olivia Acuff (Fr., LaFayette) A talented Lady Rambler rookie, the standout catcher hit .366 with 10 doubles, one homerun, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored with five stolen bases for the Region 6-AAA runners-up.

Macie Collins (Fr., Heritage) The first-year player didn’t miss a beat as she stepped in third base and proved herself on a veteran team by batting .418 with 11 doubles, two triples, one homerun and 33 RBIs to go with 18 runs scored.

Zoey DeFoor (So., Ringgold)

The shortstop followed up a breakout freshman year with an even better sophomore campaign as she hit .398 with nine doubles, two triples and 19 RBIs, adding nine stolen bases and 28 runs scored.

Allie Farrow (Sr., Gordon Lee) The veteran slugger hit .420 with eight doubles, three homers, and 29 RBIs, and was later named the Class 1A Public School Co-Player of the Year by the Georgia Dugout Club.

Olivia Free (Fr., LaFayette) The rookie enjoyed a memorable first high school season by hitting .364 with eight doubles, five homers and 33 RBIs, while also going 12-8 in the circle with 91 strikeouts in 131 innings with a 1.87 ERA.

Haynie Jane Gilstrap (Jr., LaFayette) The versatile infielder helped get the Orange-and-Black back to the Class AAA postseason by hitting .304 with six doubles, two triples, 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored with five stolen bases.

Riley Heard (Jr., Ringgold) After a solid season as a back-up, the junior took over at second base and got better with each passing game, ending up with a .400 average to go with five doubles, two triples, 14 RBIs, eight stolen bases and 24 runs scored.

Gracie Helton (Fr., Gordon Lee) Another member of the Lady Trojans’ touted rookie crop, the shortstop hit .405 with nine doubles, two homers, 23 RBIs and scored 29 runs in her first prep season in Chickamaug­a.

Heidi Johnson (So., LFO) The second-year shortstop was a team leader for the Lady Warriors as she batted .406 with 16 doubles, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored, while also logging 39 innings in the circle with a 4.13 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

Riley Kokinda (Sr., Heritage) The future Chattanoog­a Mocs outfielder will leave Boynton after a huge senior year that saw her bat .433 with nine doubles, three triples, one homer and 26 RBIs to go with 10 stolen bases

and 42 runs scored.

Taylor Layne (Sr., Ringgold) The outfielder/pitcher came up big for the Blue-and-White at the plate where she hit .318 with three doubles, a triple and 11 RBIs, and in the circle where she was 6-2 with 21 strikeouts and a 4.63 ERA.

Emma Phillips (Jr., Gordon

Lee) The outfielder took a huge step this past fall and became one of the team’s most consistent hitters as she batted .370 with two doubles, 12 RBIs and 19 runs scored, adding 10 stolen bases.

Ava Raby (Sr., Ringgold) The veteran catcher/designated hitter was one of the top power hitters and run producers for the Lady Tigers with a .375 average, 11 doubles, three round-trippers, 26 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Cordasia Watkins (Sr., Ridgeland) A fixture at shortstop since her first year with the Lady Panthers, she became one of the most feared hitters in 7-AAAA with a .485 average to go with seven doubles, five triples, 19 RBIs and 23 runs scored.

Tenslee Wilson (Fr., Gordon Lee) Another rookie who came up big for the state runners-up in 2021, the third baseman batted .407 with five doubles, three triples, one homerun and 28 RBIs to go with 34 runs scored.

Zoe Wright (Sr., Heritage) Another player that will be suiting up for Chattanoog­a next year, the shortstop hit a career-high .447 this past fall with seven doubles, 11 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and 31 runs scored for Class AAAA’s third-place team.
