FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

QB — Mason Parker (Sr., Ringgold) The senior AllRegion first teamer completed 117 of 189 passes for 1,483 yards and 21 touchdowns against just six intercepti­ons, while rushing 85 times for 382 yards and four more scores, to help the Tigers to the second round.

RB — Paxton McCrary (Jr., Heritage) It was another solid year for the junior AllRegion second teamer, who had 549 yards and six touchdowns on 121 carries and 200 yards and two touchdowns on 20 receptions, while adding 82 tackles and two sacks on defense.

RB — Peyton Williams (Jr., Ringgold) A 233-yard rushing performanc­e against North Murray highlighte­d a junior year that saw him carry the ball 78 times for 640 yards and add 19 catches for 330 yards with 11 total TD’s to earn second-team status in 6-AAA.

RB — Holt Roberts (Jr., Gordon Lee) The junior finished the season strong and became a solid offensive option for the Trojans with 500 yards and three touchdowns on 117 rushing attempts, picking up Region 6-A second-team honors and adding 57 tackles on defense.

WR — Darrian Burks

(Jr., Ridgeland) A 201-yard, three-touchdown night against Heritage was the catalyst for a 15-reception, 428-yard, fourTD season from the speedy Panther wideout, who was also a standout defensive back and earned second-team honors at both spots.

WR — Tyler Cheatwood (Jr., Heritage) The junior finished the year as the leading receiver for the Generals with 18 catches for 388 yards and four touchdowns, while also adding solid depth to the Heritage secondary and collecting second-team honors on both sides of the ball.

WR — Malachi Hill (Sr., Ringgold) The senior firstteam wideout capped a nice career with the Tigers by hauling in 394 yards and seven touchdowns on just 21 catches, and added 51 tackles, six pass break-ups, four intercepti­ons and second-team honors on defense.

ATH — Nate Dunfee (Jr., Gordon Lee) The junior began the year with a kick return for a touchdown on his very first touch of the season and finished with 1,083 all-purpose yards and double-digit touchdowns to pick up firstteam All-Region honors in 6-A.

OL — Chandler Brown

(Sr., Gordon Lee) The Trojans’ lone All-Region 6-A first-team selection on the offensive line, he helped paved the way for over 2,000 team rushing yards and was a run-stopper for the Navy-and-White on defense.

OL — Logan Goldsmith (Sr., Ringgold) A second-team All-Region pick in 6-AAA, the senior started all 12 games and was part of an offensive line that helped the Tigers rush for over 200 yards seven times in 2021 and put up over 300 yards rushing twice.

OL — Levi Gunn (Sr., Ringgold) Another trenchman that started all 12 games for the Tigers, his play assisted the Tigers in amassing 224.8 yards a game on the ground (second in 6-AAA) and 352.5 yards of total offense a night (fourth in 6-AAA).

OL — Jacob Klein (Sr., Ridgeland) The 7-AAAA Offensive Lineman of the Year had 23 knockdown blocks as a senior, grading out at 95 percent and did not allow a sack all season long, despite playing two games with three screws in his right finger.

OL — Ashton Hinnard (Sr., LFO) Warriors’ quarterbac­ks did not take sacks on the senior’s watch as he consistent­ly protected the team’s signal-callers and was rewarded by being named the only first-team All-Region (6AAA) selection from LFO this past fall.

OL — Coy Pendergras­s (Sr., LaFayette) A preseason

All-State selection, the senior standout went on to earn firstteam status in Region 6-AAA and pick up a postseason invitation to the Georgia vs. Florida High School Showcase Game later this month.

K — Jacob Brown (Jr., LaFayette) The strong-legged junior turned in an All-Region second-team campaign by making 24 of 25 extra points, booting 10 of 13 field goals with a school-record 52-yarder, and delivering 14 touchbacks on kickoffs.

K — Landon Eaker (Sr., Ringgold) The senior firstteam 6-AAA pick hit 50 of 52 PAT’s, blasted 39 kickoffs for touchbacks, and made 12 of 14 field goals with a long of 48 yards, including the gamewinner in the final seconds of a thriller against North Murray.
