Peyton Culpepper came through with an RBI-single to tie the game, and Nathan Horne picked up his second RBI of the night on a sacrifice fly to bring in what became the winning run.

Wilson, who came into pitch in the sixth, retired the Tigers in order in the seventh to seal the victory. He allowed two unearned runs on two hits with two strikeouts to record the save. Keefe threw the first five innings and allowed two earned runs on two hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

Culpepper went 2 for 3 and knocked in a pair of runs, Keefe had a single and stole a base, while Chandler Harris drew a walk, stole two bases, scored a run and knocked in another.

Five different pitchers toed the rubber for Ringgold. Franklin Helsel threw a team-high 3.2 innings. He did not allow a hit and surrendere­d just one walk while striking out seven batters after entering the game in relief in the top of the first.

Underdown doubled and drove in a run, while Fries, Quick and Braylee Raby all had one hit and one RBI. Fries’ RBI came on a solo homer in the bottom of the fifth inning.

GORDON LEE 16, CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 0

The Trojans put up six runs in both the first and fourth innings on their way to a win in a game played Wednesday afternoon at Rossville City Park.

Hurley McAlister was 2 for 3 with a pair of RBIs. Kaden Ellis doubled and knocked in two runs, while Garrett Ross also had two RBIs. Dustin Day tripled and scored once, while Layne Vaughn and Brisyn Oliver both knocked in a run.

Ross started the game and pitched the first three innings. He allowed just one hit and two walks with six strikeouts, while Corbin Curd struck out one batter in one inning of relief.

Hartley Workman had the only hit for the Eagles and stole a pair of bases.

He was also part of a trio of pitchers for CVMS that included Aiden Stone and Lucas Craig. They gave up eight runs on seven hits with six strikeouts in four innings, but surrendere­d 12 walks.

GORDON LEE 15, SADDLE RIDGE 0

Day tossed a four-inning perfect game with six strikeouts at home on Thursday afternoon.

Ross went 3 for 3 with three RBIs, while Vaughn was 3 for 3 with one RBI. Maddox Millard had two hits and scored twice, while Colt Wood drove in two runs.

Solo RBIs for the Trojans (6-1) were recorded by Ellis, McAlister, Curd, Peyton Groce, Keaton Lockhart, James Davis, and Landon Norton.

Cole Scott took the loss on the mound for the Mustangs. He walked three batters and struck out one in 3.2 innings of work.
