Heritage girls get back on track

The Heritage Lady Generals snapped a losing streak with a 55-47 win at Christian Heritage last Tuesday night.

Macie Collins had 14 points and eight rebounds and was one of four players in double figures for the Navy-and-Red. Lauren Mock, Bailee Hollis and Reese Abercrombi­e all had 11 points each. Mock also grabbed four boards and Hollis picked up three assists, while Tori Epps finished with eight points and five assists.

HERITAGE GIRLS 43, RINGGOLD 36

Saturday night at Ringgold, the Lady Generals took a seven-point lead after the first quarter and that’s the way it would finish as they won their second straight contest.

Abercrombi­e knocked down four 3-pointers and had a season-high 16 points. Collins finished with nine points and Hollis added six.

The remainder of the scoring included four points from Mock, three by Epps and Addi Dills, along with two by Ema Tanner.

CHRISTIAN HERITAGE BOYS 71, HERITAGE 44

In Tuesday’s boys’ game, the Generals fell to the Lions, who

are currently ranked No. 2 in Division II of Class A.

aleb Gallman had 20 points for Heritage in the loss. No further details from the games were available as of press time.

HERITAGE BOYS 60, RINGGOLD 54

In Saturday’s nightcap, the Generals led 45-28 going into the fourth quarter, but had to withstand a 26-point outburst by the Tigers over the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Gallman had a gamehigh 21 points as Heritage snapped a three-game losing streak. Gavin Broadrick had 12 points and aden Swope finished with nine.

Max Owens and Bryce Travillian had five points apiece. Cooper Bell and Lennon Barrett each scored three, while aleb Biddle added two.
