What is the strength of this year’s squad?
e tw t : “The strength of this year’s squad is their experience. My returners are coming off of their third straight win in a row at state in the Hip Hop category. They know what it feels like to win. The girls who came up from middle school are also decorated competitors with numerous wins last year. This is one of the most talented teams I’ve had the honor to coach. I cannot wait to see what they will do this season.”
Is there a central theme to your routines this season and how difficult will the routines be?
e tw t: Our team competes in both Class 3A Pom and Hip Hop. Our Pom theme this year is “Come Fly With Me” where we hope to take the audience on a trip through the clouds. Fasten your seatbelts! It may be a bumpy ride!
“As for Hip Hop, we decided to go towards a darker feel this year with a theme about monsters — “Be afraid. Be very afraid.”
What is the key or keys to your season?
e tw t: “The key for us to have a good season this year is for our team to continue to remember to have fun. Hard work is only part of the equation. Our sport is unique in that we get to create artistic pieces that can range in emotions, but if we aren’t having a good time, then our audiences won’t have a good time, and we want everyone to have a fabulous time while we are on the floor.”

Ringgold, who also participated in the War Eagle Warm-Up at South Forsyth this past weekend, will continue its season at Peachtree Ridge on Jan. 14 before takng part in the 5-Star Invitational at Heritage on Jan. 21. They will also compete at McIntosh
Feb. 4 before state in Macon the following weekend
Feb. 11 .
