- LeAnn Maretti/ Ellaina Willis

What is the strength of this year’s squad?

ett : “The strength of this year’s squad is strong leadership in our senior members and captains. Although we have many new members, another strength is their enthusiasm and commitment to building a strong program. Our program is still fairly new, and this will only be our second season competing.

“Our dancers are dedicated to building on last year’s success. We have a close team bond and genuinely care for and respect each other.”

Is there a central theme to your routine this season and howdifficultwilltheroutinebe?

ett : “We do not have a specific theme for this year’s Hip Hop competition routine. Our music is a mix of old school and current hip hop hits, and our routine is a combination of hard-hitting, yet stylized motions. Our choreographer did an amazing job incorporating different hip hop styles into our routine.

“Our hope is to increase the difficulty of our routine and incorporate hip hop tricks and partner stunts that will enhance the musicality of our routine.”

What is the key or keys to your season?

ett : “The key to our season is the constant pursuit of growth and progress. In fact, our team motto for this year is “PASSION, PRIDE, and PROGRESS”. We want to continually pursue our passion for dance, have pride in our program, and build on the foundation that has been laid by our alumni and progress from there.

“While we are extremely proud of our accomplishments thus far, we still want to improve and grow as not only individual dancers, but as a team. It is our desire to represent our school and community in a positive manner and we have a responsibility to do so. With this obligation, we know there also come many opportunities for success.”
