Lakeview boys on a roll as holiday break approaches

The Lakeview Warriors continued their winning ways with a 49-26 road victory in Trenton last Monday.

Chandler Harris led all scorers with 18 points. Marcus Turner had nine and Caleb Underwood finished with eight. obe Chatman scored six points, while two apiece from Caleb Ownby, Brody Card, Brycin Card and Levi Camp rounded out the scoring.

LAKEVIEW 57, CHATTANOOG­A VALLEY 36

The Red-and-White made it eight in a row with a home win on Thursday.

Chatman and Turner both had 18 points for Lakeview, while Underwood finished with 12. Harris dropped in four with Ownby and Brody Card scoring three apiece.

The Eagles got 13 points each from T.J. Foster and Massen Brundage. Stryker Harden finished with five points, followed by three from Jax Harris and two by Jackson Silvey.

CVMS also won 42-20 at Trion last Monday. No other details on the game had been reported as of press time.

ROSSVILLE 41, GORDON LEE 32

The Bulldogs got back to .500 on the season with a victory last Monday in Chickamaug­a.

J.D. Hinton paced visiting Rossville with 20 points. Jayden Lambert and Raylon Nichols scored seven each. Brandon Newport had five and Robert Burgess finished with two.

Eli Hasty scored 10 points for Gordon Lee, followed by Will Chambers with six, Braxton Daniel with five and Colt Wood with four. Gage Helton added three points, while Dyllan Currie and Jack Purcell had two points each.

ROSSVILLE 45, DADE 34

After a 0-3 start to the season, the Bulldogs made it four straight wins following Thursday’s victory in Trenton.

Lambert had 15 points, Newport finished with 12 and Hinton added 10.

HERITAGE 57, LAFAYETTE 52

The Generals trailed 24-22 at halftime and 39-38 after three quarters last Monday, but rallied in the fourth to pick up the home victory.

Sam Coleman led all scorers with 26 points, while Cohen Fletcher scored 10 of Heritage’s 19 points in the fourth. He finished with 18 on the night. Eli Thacker had five points, Caden Hight added four, while Carson Rich and Max Hood scored two each.

Luke Hopkins had 22 points for the Ramblers, followed by Cody Fielding with 16, Cannon Cordle with 11 and Chris Duncan with six.

HERITAGE 57, GORDON LEE 26

The Generals had 10 different players score on Thursday as they earned a road win. Sam Coleman had 13 points to lead the way, followed by nine from Rich, eight by Fletcher and seven by Hight.

The rest of the scoring included five from Brody Hughes, four by Cooper McCrary, four by ayden Locke, three by Cade Green and two apiece from Thacker and Hood.

Gordon Lee got 12 points from Purcell, five from Helton and four from Hasty. Three points by Currie, two by Chambers and one by Daniel rounded out the scoring for the Trojans.

DALTON 66, LAFAYETTE 44

The Ramblers got 20 points from Cordle and 15 from Hopkins, but it was not enough to get them a win as they dropped a decision to the Cougars in Whitfield County on Wednesday.

Fielding scored five points for the Ramblers. Levi Hopkins added two, while Duncan and River Clark had one point each.

LAFAYETTE 55, SADDLE RIDGE 44

The Ramblers snapped a four-game slide with a home victory on Thursday.

Cordle had 17 points for the Ramblers. Luke Hopkins added 15 and Fielding scored 13, including three 3-pointers. Duncan had four points, while Clark and Riley Arthur both scored three in the victory.

Harris went for 19 points

for Saddle Ridge, followed by Landon irby, who connected on three 3-pointers and finished with nine points. Bryson Penson had seven and Harrison Gilstrap had four, as did Jacob Hayes, while Landon imbell added three.

RINGGOLD 56, SADDLE RIDGE 15

The Tigers put three players in double figures as they picked up a home victory last Monday night. Landon Sisk scored 14 points, while Brody Raby and Blake Williams had 12 apiece.

The rest of the scoring included five from ane Little, four by ach Grower, three by Eldrich Trazo, and two each from Hunter Epps, Will Burgess and Scotty Searcy.

Harris had eight points for the Mustangs. Penson added three, while Gilstrap and irby finished with two apiece.

RINGGOLD 45, TRION 8

The Tigers got 11 points from Raby, 10 from Trazo and nine from Williams in a win at Trion on Thursday. Grower had eight points, Burgess added four and Little picked up three in the Tigers’ third consecutiv­e game of allowing 15 points or less.
