More youth sports camps are on tap

There will be plenty of summertime camps and activities for students in the Catoosa and Walker County areas as several high schools will be hosting summer youth camps in the upcoming weeks.

RIDGELAND SKILLS SESSIONS

The Ridgeland girls’ basketball program will host their Future Lady Panthers Summer Skill Sessions on June 5 and June 19 from 6-8 p.m. each night. The cost is free for participants.

LAFAYETTE VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The LaFayette Youth Volleyball Camp will be held June 12-13 from 5-7 p.m. each day at Dan Priest Arena (LaFayette High School gym) for upcoming first through upcoming eighth grade students.

The fee will be $40 per camper and sibling discounts are available. Campers who register by May 29 will be guaranteed a camp T-shirt.

LFO CHEER CAMP

The LFO Little Warrior Cheer Camp will be held June 12-14 from 9 a.m.-12 noon each day. The cost is $60 before May 26 and $70 after May 27.

GORDON LEE SOFTBALL CAMP

Gordon Lee High School will be holding a softball camp on June 12-14 from 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m. each day. The cost is $100.

Gordon Lee High School will be holding a boys’ and girls’ basketball camp on June 12-14 from 1-4 p.m. each day. The cost is $100 and will be open to rising K through sixth graders.

LAFAYETTE FOOTBALL CAMP

The LaFayette Ramblers Youth Football Camp will be held June 12-14 from 6-7:30 p.m. each night at Jeff Suttle Field at Jack King Stadium.

The fee will be $25 per camper and will be open to all rising third through eighth grade students.

LFO TENNIS CAMP

The LFO Tennis Camp will be held June 12-15 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. each day at the LFO tennis courts.

The fee will be $30 per child and will be open to all rising second through ninth grade students.

Campers who sign up by June 1 will receive a camp T-shirt.

GORDON LEE FOOTBALL CAMP

The Gordon Lee High School Trojan Football Camp will be held June 13-15 from 8 a.m.-12 noon on each day on Bobby Chappell Field.

The cost is $100 per camper, which includes snacks and drinks each day. The camp is open to students Ksixth grade.

RINGGOLD BASEBALL CAMP

The Ringgold Tiger Baseball program will its Elementary Summer Camp on June 13-15 from 9 a.m.-12 noon each day at Bill Womack Field.

The cost will be $75 per camper, which can paid during pre-registration or on the first day of camp. The camp is open to rising K through fifth grade students.

The 2023 LaFayette High School Soccer Camp will be held June 15-16 at LHS from 5-7 p.m. each night.

HERITAGE BASEBALL CAMP

The Future Generals 2023 Baseball Camp will be held at the Heritage High School baseball field on June 19-21 from 9 a.m-12 noon each day. The cost is $75 per camper.

Registration should be sent to 3960 Poplar Springs Road, Ringgold, Ga. 30736, or payment can be made on the first day of camp. The camp will be instructed by Heritage High baseball coaches, as well as current and former players.

RIDGELAND RIFLE CAMP

Ridgeland’s rifle team will hold basic rifle camps at the school’s indoor firing range June 20-22 and June 27-29.

Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate at a cost of $40 per camper. Each camp is limited to 12 spots.
