ed eight assists.

In the opening set, Wapakoneta took the early lead, going up 6-1. Botkins closed the gap to two points with a small run. The teams then each added a few points at a time, with the Redskins maintaining the lead..

Up by two, 10-8, the Redskins stretched things out, getting runs of four, three and three points, while the Lady Trojans could only get two points in that period. Kaylei Barnett, Woodruff and Chloei Barnett were on the service line for the Lady ‘Skins.

After scoring and getting the serve back, Botkins’ Janel Platfoot got a hot hand, with Botkins scoring six more to close the gap to 20-17.

After Wapakoneta made it a four-point lead, they closed it out with the final three points for the 25-18 victory.

Botkins took a 3-1 lead to start the second set, but Wapakoneta then scored six of the next seven to go in front. After Botkins got within a point, 7-6, the Lady Redskins scored six of the next seven. Highlights included spikes by Palmer and Chloei Barnett. The run finished with an ace by Kaylei Barnett that landed just in bounds to make it 13-7.

Botkins kept it close over the next stretch, with Paige Doseck tapping the ball over for one of their points. Wapakoneta had a five-point lead, 17-12, at that point.

They scored to regain the serve, and Kelsey Fullenkamp would keep the offense rolling by serving out the match as the hosts scored eight straight for the 25-12 win.

The third set saw the Lady Trojans get the opening serve and point. Wapakoneta responded with a 6-1 run. Platfoot helped Botkins get even at 6-all with three straight service points. Wapakoneta scored three to break the tie.

Each team went back and forth with their scoring, getting points in ones and twos.
