Botkins boys stay unbeaten on year

BOTKINS — The Botkins boys remained unbeaten on the season Tuesday, as they defeated Russia 61- 39 in a Shelby County League contest.

The Trojans are now 5- 0 in SCAL action and 7- 0 overall.

Jayden Priddy head 15 points and Jacob Pleiman scored 13, with Carter Pleiman putting in 11 for Botkins.

Russia was led by Ben Bohman with 12 points.

Botkins had a sixpoint lead, 15- 9, in the first quarter. Priddy hit two shots. Denton Homan made one, while Jameson Meyer, Parker Geis and Zane Paul each made a 3- pointer.

Botkins outscored the Raiders by four in the second for a 25- 15 lead at the half. Jacob Pleiman had a two and a three, Paul hit a three, and Carter Pleiman had the other basket.

Botkins took control in the third, outscoring Russia 21- 11. Carter

Pleiman hit three shots from long range and Jacob Pleiman had six points and Priddy had five. Geis made a free throw as well.

Botkins maintained its lead in the final period, scoring 15 points. Priddy scored six, with Homan, Paul, Jacob Pleiman and Garrett Greve each getting a basket. Meyer hit one free throw.

Botkins will travel to Parkway on Saturday night. JV play begins at 6 p. m.
