Leota L. “Tooty” (Rohrbacher) Fritz, 98, of Wapakoneta, died 7:03 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021, at The Gardens of Wapakoneta.

She was born May 14, 1922, in Moulton, OH, the daughter of Rinehart Robert and Alma (Berg) Rohrbacher, who preceded her in death.

Leota grew up in Cridersvil­le, OH. She met, fell in love with, and married Gerald “Jerry” Merlin Fritz, of Buckland, OH, on June 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death on May 18, 1991. They were blessed with four children, Kay (Richard) Ault, Cridersvil­le; Diana (Glen) Miller, Wapakoneta; David (Cathy) Fritz, East Kingston, NH; and Mark (Donna) Fritz, Wapakoneta; whom all survive. There are 11 grandchild­ren, Joy Ault, Don Ault, Dan (Christy) Ault, Carol (Matt) Dembicki, Amanda (Tim) Carlson, Ty Garrett Miller (dec), Anthony (Megan) Miller, Hilary (Mike) Roeger, Holly (Mike) Palao, Benjamin David Fritz (dec), and Julie (Dave) Sabbagh; 16 great grandchild­ren, Lindsay and Ben Ault, Mason, Cameron, and Alaina Ault, Adam and Roman Dembicki, Emma and Lily Carlson, Lacey Miller, Amelia and Elanor Roeger, Nolan and Kincaid Palao, and Max and Lucy Sabbagh. Tooty is also survived by a sister, Marjorie (Russ-dec) Sauer, Westervill­e, OH. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Virginia) Rohrbacher.

Tooty worked for the Wapakoneta City Schools as a cafeteria cook. Her love of cooking touched many lives for decades through the schools and with her family. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. Tooty was also a member of the Wapakoneta Senior Citizens, and loved playing cards with family and friends. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, a caring sister, a hard worker, a lover of life, an optimist at heart, but most importantl­y admired and extremely loved by all who knew her. May we all carry a bit of her with us in our hearts and in our actions everyday. She had a love of cardinals, enjoying feeding the birds and squirrels in her yard, quilting, and working in the yard and garden.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the First English Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta, with Vicar Deb Monnin officiatin­g. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.

The family will receive family and friends from 9-11 a.m., Saturday at the church. Memorial contributi­ons may be directed to First English Lutheran Church. Condolence­s may be expressed at www. eleyfunera­lhomeandcr­ematory.com.

In keeping with current health guidelines, masks are required at the church. The funeral service will be live streamed on the funeral home and church’s Facebook pages.
