Roland L. Wright, 75

Roland L. ‘Rollie’ Wright, 75, of Wapakoneta, died 12:50 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021,

at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born June 23, 1946, in Lima, the son of Harry, Jr., and Lenora (Bradford) Wright, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a son, Rusty (Patty) Wright, Wapakoneta;

grandchildren:

Alicia, Adam, and Aimee Wright; stepgrandchildren: Billy, Michelle, and Justin

Schmerge; step-great grandchildren:

Skylar Schmerge, Valerie Schmerge, Liam

Schmerge, Layla Miller, Logan Miller; siblings: Judy Schooler, Pam (Marty) Douglas,

and Mark (Sharon) Wright; numerous nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Wright; and a step-grandson, Terry Schmerge.

Rollie worked as a custodian at Shawnee

Schools, and was a graduate of Cridersville High School. Rollie enjoyed fishing,

camping, caring for his dogs, and telling

jokes. However, he most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home &

Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Gary Rummel

officiating. The family will receive family and friends 2 p.m.,

Sunday until the time of service at the funeral home.

In keeping with the family wishes, those

attending are asked to wear casual clothing.
