Billie L. Keiber, 92

Billie Lou Keiber, 92, of Wapakoneta, died 3:20 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Mercy Health- St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

She was born Nov. 8, 1928, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Warner and Ladonna (Shepherd) Wolfe, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Mary Hull Wolfe. On March 27, 1948, she married Robert E. Keiber and he died Nov. 23, 2014.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Ann (Don) Hinkle, Wapakoneta; three grandchild­ren: Jennifer (Bill) Wapplehors­t, Cridersvil­le, Dustin (Avary) Hinkle, Muncie, IN, Darren Hinkle, Lima; three greatgrand­children: Dallan Hinkle, Benjamin Wapplehors­t, and Asher Hinkle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings and spouses: Jack Wolfe, Patsy (Addison) Foster, and Margaret ‘Peg; (Robert) Walti.

Billie worked as a nurse at Wapakoneta Manor, retiring in 2009. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. She was a 1946 graduate of Blume High School, and 1963 graduate of the Lima School of Practical Nursing. Billie was a member of the National Assn. of Practical Nursing, and the Licensed Practical Nurses of Ohio.

She enjoyed baking, including chocolate cookies, and attending services at church.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Doug Pretorius officiatin­g. Burial is to follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton, OH.

The family will receive the family and friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
