Schleucher honored for community service
COLUMBUS - The Ohio State Bar Foundation (OSBF) is pleased to announce Molli Schleucher as a recipient of the Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under. This award is given to attorneys who work to make a difference in their communities outside of their practice area and without compensation. By recognizing outstanding attorneys, the OSBF promotes excellence in the legal profession.
Schleucher is a graduate of Wilmington College and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Wright State University, as well as a J.D. from Western Michigan University’s Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Schleucher is a fulltime magistrate for the Van Wert Municipal Court in Van Wert County, Ohio. For her impressive community service record, Schleucher is a deserving winner of the Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under.
“Molli’s dedication to our community makes her a stand-out candidate for the award,” said Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Amy B. Ikerd, along with the Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, in their nominating letter. “Her commitment to her community shines through.”
Schleucher is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Mercer County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Women in Leadership of Western Ohio, the Mercer County House of Hope Board, and the Van Wert Bar Association.
Schleucher organizes and hosts events for Christmas toy and clothing drives, volunteers for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America, and serves on numerous community organization boards and committees. She also taught as an adjunct professor at Wright State University.
“Molli truly demonstrates the very essence of excellence in our profession and is an inspiration to us all. She leads by example, and we’re grateful for her ability to show the positive impact and influence attorneys can have on their communities,” said Ohio State Bar Foundation President Velda Hofacker.
Schleucher will be honored with the Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under award on Wednesday, October 6 at the Grand Plaza Banquet Hall in Wapakoneta
