Infinite Protectors open for business
Cyber security is a growing market, and Infinite Protection’s move to Wapakoneta
comes as a result of that growth.
The company was founded in 2016 in St. Marys but their
success encourage them to look for a bigger space for their expanding business.
President Isaac Dunifon said they still keep a satellite location in St. Marys but plan to
make their headquarters in Wapakoneta.
After starting the move ito 10 W. Auglaize St. in early spring this year, they updated the former Concrete Protector and
Bank One building with new paint and flooring. Employees refer to the building as “The Vault” because of the physical vault it contains.
The company currently provide free training to organizations and offer services to prevent security breaches. On Tuesday they were teaching about how to monitor and secure remote workplace settings.
They are non-product centric, and the goal is prevention.
“There are products we prefer over others, but the concept
is we’ve got to protect the people, the property, or the profits. We’ve got to figure out what
that goal is and build that solution,” Dunifon said.
He said small businesses rent services on the Google Cloud, and that comes with a false sense of security. Ultimately users are responsible for the security of their operating systems and user accounts.
He pointed to flaws in security with employee turnover,
shared user accounts or sharing key fobs.
Infinite Protections services include VPN services and encrypted communication services through their Icypher
service. They also offer digital forensics services, and physical security such as video surveillance and access panels installation.
