Herbert L. Buffenbarger, 84
Herbert L. ‘Herb’ Buffenbarger, 84, of Wapakoneta, died 10:56 a.m., Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, at his home with his family at his side.
He was born July 22, 1937, in Decatur, IN,
the son of the late Harvey M. and Agnes (Bentz) Buffenbarger. On Sept. 10, 1960, he
married Shirley A. (Stuckey) Buffenbarger, and she survives.
The Buffenbarger family had lived in Coldwater, OH, from 1965-2002, before moving to Wapakoneta.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Buffenbarger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Verdin and Pearl
Stuckey; brothers-inlaws: Verdin & David
Stuckey, and Harvey Mccune; and sister-inlaw, Gini Stuckey.
Herb retired as a millwright from AVCO- New Idea, Coldwater, OH after
38 years of service. He was a 1955 graduate of Holy Angels High
School, Sidney, and served in the U.S. Navy on USS Abbott. Herb was a tinkerer and Mr. Fixit.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Rev.
Sean Wilson officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive family and friends 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, and 9-10
a.m., Monday, at the Eley Funeral Home &
Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta.
