Betty L. Gross, 84

Betty L. Gross, 84, of Wapakoneta died 1:45 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Otterbeinc­ridersvill­e, with her family at her side.

She was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Auglaize Co., the daughter of the late William John and Ola Katherine (Snider) Young. On Feb. 19, 1954, she married Doyle Everett Gross and he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1991.

Survivors include Everett (Sharon) Gross St. Johns, OH, Gloria (Mike) Goudy, Wapakoneta, Angela (Ken) Vaughn, Wapakoneta, Nina (William) Laney, Wapakoneta, Tammy (Ed) Bower, New Knoxville, Jeanie (Steve) Aldrich, Wapakoneta; 18 grandchild­ren: Thad (Kim) Gross, Keon (Sam) Gross, Ethan (Bethany) Gross, Tristen (Joe) Heckman, Kelly (Sam) Miller, April (Chris) Coulter, June (Daniel) Bennett, Dominic Vaughn, Brandi (Trent) Fahncke, First Lieutenant Will (Dianna) Laney, Robert Laney, Ashley (A.J.) Dickens, Brian (Karen) Bower, Ryan (Cindy) Bower, Tiffany (Aaron) Crouch, John (Joanna) Holtzapple, Jamie Holtzapple, Tommy (Kirsten) Watters; 30 great-grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by a sister; and seven brothers.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, gardening, caring for her cats, and spending time with her grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday,

Nov. 23, 2021, at the Eley Funeral Home &

Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta, with Pastor Gary Rummel officiatin­g.

Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends noon until time of the service, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
