Nancy J. Seibert, 85
Nancy Jo Seibert, 85, of rural Spencerville, passed away peacefully at 4:25 p.m., Tuesday, November 30,2021
in the Mercy Health St. Rita Medical Center, with her family at her side.
She was born July 10, 1936 in Lima, the
daughter of the late Ralph Edward Hixson and Evelyn Loretta Bible Hixson.
On June 30, 1956 she married Hugh W.
Seibert who survives along with two sons: Richard (Patty) Seibert
of Spencerville, James (Margo Bear) Seibert
of Grandview Heights, Ohio; and two daughters: Luann (Bruce)
Stoner, and Farrell (Todd) Merriman, both of St. Marys,
eight grandsons: Daniel (Tiffany) Seibert, Michael (Krista) Seibert, Benjamin (Carolyn) Seibert, Ryan (Andrea) Stoner, Scott (Lauren) Stoner, Seth (Caitlyn) Stoner, David
(Lauren) Merriman, Marcus (Katie) Merriman; one granddaughter, Katie (Wyatt) Krouskop; and
sixteen great-grandchildren: Lillian Seibert, Sophia Seibert, Angelina Seibert, Harmon Seibert, Hollyn
Seibert, Havilyn Seibert, Lane Seibert, Lucas Seibert, Henry
Seibert, Leo Stoner, Rey Stoner, Blake
Stoner, Sawyer Stoner, Hayes Stoner, Amelia Merriman, and Baby Merriman; her brother,
Sam (Janette) Hixson of Spencerville; her
sister, Jeanne (Ronald) Miller of Wapakoneta.
Her brother, John Hixson; and sister, Susan Hixson are deceased.
Nancy graduated from Spencerville High School in 1954.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed her children, grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. She was a very talented lady. She was
an artist, played the trombone, violin and piano, and sang in the
church choir. She was a member of the former Kossuth Garden Club.
She was a member of Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church where she served as a
Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Kitchen Helper and was treasurer of the church for 25 years. She was
also Membership Chairman. She was
secretary of the Spencerville Historical Society. She worked part-time at Jenni’s Hallmark in Minster, Ohio.
Private Family Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday,
December 4, in the Kossuth Zion United
Methodist Church, with burial to follow
in the New Salem Cemetery in Auglaize County.
Public Visitation will be from 9 a.m.,
In lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made the
Spencerville Historical Society, the Kossuth Zion United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus.
