Randy L. Presar, 69

Randy L. Presar, 69, of rural Wapakoneta, died 9:50 p.m., Thurs. Feb. 2, 2023, at Lima Memorial Health System, surrounded by his family. He was born Sept. 14, 1953, in Lima, the son of the late Lee “Tater” & Helen (Harshbarge­r) Presar. On July 20, 1974, he married Debra L. Rickert, and she survives.

Other survivors include, 2 sons, Jeremy (Lauren) Presar, Wapakoneta, Todd (Courtney) Presar, Cincinnati, OH; 4 grandchild­ren, Bo & Brody Presar, Gage & Brynn Presar; siblings, Linda (Wilbur) Doseck, Joe (Judie) Presar, Pam (Joe) Wachauf, all of Wapakoneta; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darla (Ken) Frame, Wapakoneta; numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Phipps.

Randy retired in 2015 from G.A. Wintzer & Son, Wapakoneta, after over 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, and a 1972 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. He also had served as director of the Buckland Rec summer program. Randy’s membership­s included the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, Amvets, Post #333, and Brand’s Lake Fishing Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and in his younger years, playing slo-pitch softball. Randy was also an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.he especially enjoyed watching his grandchild­ren’s sporting events.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wed. Feb. 8, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Rev. Sean Wilson officiatin­g. Burial of his cremated remains will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Tues. Feb. 7, and 9-10 a.m., Wed. at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Memorial contributi­ons may be directed to Wapakoneta Athletic Boosters.
