■ After months and months of planning and anticipation, the Auglaize County Sesquicentennial Committee will kick off the year-long celebration of the county’s 150th on Saturday. The day’s events will focus around the historic Auglaize County Courthouse. At 10:45 am, Dr. George Holbrook, the county’s founder, will make an appearance. Immediately following Holbrook’s return engagement, the Sesqui committee and Auglaize County Commissioners will officially kick off the anniversary celebration with a formal reception at the courthouse.
