Valentine's and “Galentine's” Celebrated Today Through Tuesday in Downtown Wapak
As Valentine’s Day approaches, Wapakoneta's downtown district is readily stocked with memorable gifts and colorful decorations. On Friday, Feb. 10, during “Galentine’s Sip and Shop,” many Auglaize Street shops will stay open late for patrons to enjoy DORA drinks, sweets, and shopping. (Galentine's = Valentine's Day with your gal pals). Some of the special features available today, with some available through Valentine's Day on Tuesday, include:
Winans Chocolates and Coffees:
Winan's knows February 14th is not the same without heart-shaped goodies. Heart-shaped chocolate boxes are available in various sizes and designs, many with a luxurious velvety finish. Nutritious options even exist, like heartshaped, antioxidant-rich dark chocolate bars full of nuts, seeds, and dried cherries. Cupid’s Kiss Latte, a featured drink, embodies notes of caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon. Winans chocolates are carefully made in Piqua, Ohio with real, natural, and quality ingredients.
Casa Chic, with its distinct and cozy window displays, will celebrate Valentine's by distributing swag bags to its first 25 Galentine’s patrons. The home decor, plus so much more, shop hosts a variety of items and vendors offering a little of everything: apparel, soaps, lotions, pottery, specialty cards, vintage decorations, and refurbished antiques. So many locally-sourced gifts are at Wapakoneta's fingertips within Casa Chic’s walls.
Twelve Oak Boutique is full of trendy apparel appropriate for casual, work, or a social night out, as well as accessories and other 'feel-good' items. Spencer’s Sugar Pop-up will grace the Boutique with specialty baked goods, and Keaton from Unique by Design will be masterfully creating custom flower bars.
All purchases at Frost Impressions boutique will be entered to win a session with Knoch Photography. The boutique will host Pretty Sweet Treats Baking Company's Pop-up shop.
Be Well Spa and Nutrition Center is offering Valentine’s Day specials, including complimentary roses on Valentine’s week. Jenna from Mean Macarons will be featured at Interior Motifs, and smoothie shop Dash and Joey’s will be offering manicures from Apollo Career Center cosmetology students.
