Kenneth M. “Kenny” Schneider, 84, of Wapakoneta passed away at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his residence.

He was born on January 23, 1939 on his family farm to Urban & Esther (Voisard) Schneider who preceded him in death. On September 27, 1996 he married Kathryn Irish and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Survivors include 4 children Tammy (Jeff) Limbert, Tina (Jack) Hayzlett, Tim (Melissa) Schneider, Terri (Nate) Bailey all of Wapakoneta; 3 step-children Carrie (Adam) Mengerink of Port Richey, FL, Andrea (Michael) Schoenlein of Coldwater, Stephanie (John) Huelsman of Minster; 19 grandchild­ren; 8 greatgrand­children; a brother Urban Schneider and a sister Kathleen Buehler.

He was preceded in death by 4 siblings Lucinda (Frank) Hemmert, Henrietta (Robert) Miller, Lillian (Carl) Hines, Gladys (Mac) Mcchesney; a sister-in-law Sylvia Schneider and a brother-in-law Marvin Buehler.

Kenny was 1957 graduate of Blume High School. He was farmer and raised hogs. He had worked for the local stockyard and retired from Ametek after 19 ½ years of service. He loved coon hunting, horseback and mule riding and he raised dogs and goats.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 21, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Glynwood with Rev. Rob Muhlenkamp officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Family and friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.

In lieu of flower memorial contributi­ons may be directed to St. Rita’s Hospice or Holy Rosary School, Autism Unit.
