Bonnie Briggs, 92, of Prairie Grove, Ark., passed away March 3, 2016, at Prairie Grove Health & Rehab. She wa s born Oct. 18, 1923, in Texas City, Texa s , to Henry and Laura Yeager.

She lived in Texas City the first 72 years of her life and then moved to Prairie Grove for the last 20 years. She was married to Gus for 72 years until he passed in 2012. In her earlier years, she was an auto insurance agent, accomplish­ed seamstress, ballroom dancer and teacher and loved to travel. After moving to Prairie Grove, she and Gus had a greeting card ministry, with Gus making the cards and Bonnie writing the verses. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gus; daughter, Bonnie; and grandchild­ren, Scott Barrett and Wendy Wiechens.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandy Barrett and husband Ben Barrett of Cane Hill, Ark.; four grandchild­ren, Angie Hunton and husband Earl, and Andreina Barrett all of Prairie Grove; and Kendra Austin and Faryn Thompson of Houston, Texas; nine great-grandchild­ren, Samantha Genz and husband Taylor, Amber Durham and husband Blake, Hailey Hunton, Cole Hunton and Andres Barrett all of Northwest Arkansas and Danielle Wiechens, Chip Mills, Jade Thompson and Cody Austin all of Houston; and four great-great-grandchild­ren, Bladen Tucker, Harleigh and Hunter Genz and Tanner Durham, all of Northwest Arkansas.

She always enjoyed helping friends and family and she will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Prairie Grove on Sunday, March 13, at 2 p.m.
