Prairie Grove Se­nior Ac­tiv­ity and Well­ness Cen­ter has many ac­tiv­i­ties planned through March.

The Tiger Trail, a one- fourth mile walk­ing track, is open ev­ery day weather per­mit­ting for ex­er­cise.

Some meet at 9 a.m. to walk to­gether.

The cen­ter’s ex­er­cise room is open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each week­day. It has a tread­mill and two sta­tion­ary bikes for se­niors to use.

An­other work­out is PEPPI ( Peer Ex­er­cise Pro­gram Pro­motes In­de­pen­dence) from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Mon­day, Wed­nes­day and Fri­day.

Game times are held each day. On Mon­days, se­niors play the card game Pitch at 10 a.m. On Tues­days, Canasta starts at 9:30 a.m. and other card games start at 12:30 p.m. Wed­nes­days, the card game Tic starts at 10 a.m.; Thurs­days, se­niors play Bridge start­ing at 12:30 p.m.

On Fri­days, Bingo starts at 10 a.m. and se­niors can play Mex­i­can train domi­noes at 12:30 p.m.

Lunch is served from 1130 a.m. to noon, with a sug­gested do­na­tion of $3 for se­nior adults.

The se­nior cen­ter is op­er­ated by Area Agency on Ag­ing. The agency’s mis­sion is to cre­ate an at­mos­phere of car­ing and com­pas­sion for our se­nior gen­er­a­tion and en­hance their qual­ity of

life by gen­er­at­ing fi­nan­cial sup­port for pro­grams and ser­vices pro­vided to in­di­vid­u­als 60 years and older.
