Lincoln Library Happenings

- Diana Payne

Happy Spring everyone! The flowers are here, the trees are budding out and of course the time change… how could we forget that?! I tell ya, its getting harder and harder to adjust to the spring-ahead the older I get.

But enough of that, let me tell you what is going on at your favorite library. StoryTime with Ms. Sherry Rodgers every Wednesday morning at 10 and BookTalk-ers on the third Tuesday of every month from 4-5 p.m. are in full swing now. The Garden club meets on the second Tuesday evening from 6-8, Crochet class and Knitting Club are the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each week. We have GED classes every Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon. All these classes are free and open to the public. You can call for more information on times and dates at 479-824-3294. We are also excited about our Rosetta Stone Spanish Speaking computer that we have. You may come in and sign up to

use this program for an hour or two as often as you can to complete the levels of Spanish immersion. This is also free.

We have people still that ask us how much does it cost to check out movies. There is NO cost to check out any of our items if you have a Washington County library card. This is a free service. The only time there is a fine is if you have returned items late, then yes, there is a charge. It has been my experience that if you make the library one of your regular stops every two weeks then you don’t get fines. It is harder to get things in on time when you only go to the library once in a while. Just saying.

Come and see us when you can.
